The admission process can be of two types. Either online through the institution’s official website or students can also visit their north and south campus for the admission and registration process. The university has its own entrance examination before the admission process starts for certain subjects.

In case of PG courses half of their seats are filled through the candidate’s last qualifying marks and the rest is through the entrance exam, GD or PI. This test is commonly known as DU SOL whereas for UG courses they have specific cut off marks in the aspirant’s 10+2 boards examinations. The process of registration for the entrance examination is majorly between April’21 – May’21

Eligibility Criteria

The course-wise eligibility criteria that candidates need to fulfil for admission to SOL DU is given below:

  • BA – Candidates must pass their 10+2 board examination from a recognized board with at least 40% in their best five subjects.
  • BA(Hons) – Aspirants are expected to pass their 10+2 board examination with a minimum of 50% marks in the relevant subject specialization.
  • BCom – Aspirants are expected to pass their 10+2 board examination with a minimum of 40% marks.
  • BCom (Hons) – Candidates should have commerce as a specialization subject along with a minimum of 55% in their 10+2 board examination.
  • MA – candidates should have a proper bachelor’s degree (hons) with a minimum of 65% marks.
  • MCom – Aspirants are expected to have a bachelor’s degree in BCom(Hons) with a minimum of 70% marks.

Selection Criteria

  • Nationality: Indian national candidates, foreign national candidates residing in India and Indian nationals working in Indian missions abroad & their dependents can apply.
  • Age limit: There is no age limit to apply for admission in DU SOL except for the courses where age limit is set by the respective regulatory bodies (MCI, AICTE etc).

Aspirants can apply through online medium from the official website or can apply through offline mode by visiting the campus of the institution.

For online applications, one first needs to register himself through the portal with a valid e-mail address and contact number. Soon the candidate will receive mails regarding the admission process and enrollment number.

Ans. An application fee of INR 500 is required during the registration process for any UG or PG program. The application fee becomes INR 250 for SC/ST/PWD candidates for any UG or PG programs.

Ans. Successfully registered candidates can download their admit card for DU SOL exam 2021 from the official website.

  • A hard copy of the admit card should be taken and carried to the exam center along with a valid identity proof.
  • Venue and schedule of the entrance exam along with some basic details of the candidates will be printed in the admit card.
  • Admit cards should not be damaged or distorted or else it will not be considered as valid.

Ans. Once the enrollment is finished the institution sends it’s candidates a SMS in their registered number. This SMS includes details about the time, place, date, location and counter number from where the books can be taken. Students need to visit the campus along with required documents in order to collect the books from respective counters.
