Terna Engineering Institution is a private engineering college affiliated with the University of Mumbai in Nerul, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra. It was founded in 1991, and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) granted it permission in 1994. Every year, Terna Engineering College honors students who excel academically by awarding scholarships. The college’s governing council awards scholarships to students who score well in tests and remain on the list of top performers. The Dr. Chandrakaladevi Padmasinha Patil (Smt. Dr. C. P. Patil) Scholarship is offered by Terna Engineering College, and every academic topper receives a sum ranging from Rs.10,000 to Rs.30,000. Ans. During their final year, the majority of students obtain job offers. All students must participate in mandatory industrial training. TCS alone has made 500 job offers in the last five placement seasons. Every year, around 100 companies come to pick students.

Ques. Can a foreign student study at Terna Engineering College with a ‘Tourist Visa’?

Ans. No, only a ‘Student Visa’ allows a foreign student (citizen) to study at Terna Engineering College. If the foreign citizen is of Indian descent, he or she can apply for a PIO (People of Indian Origin) Card or an OCI (Overseas Citizen Identification) card (Overseas Citizen of India). Without a student visa, students having PIO or OCI can study in India.

Ans. Terna Engineering College is a self-supporting institution that does not receive government funding. As a result, students admitted under the NRI / PIO / CGW / FN quota do not receive any discounts or scholarships. Ans. The Terna Trust also manages a number of other institutions. On-campus housing is provided for students from these institutes. Boys and girls are housed in different hostel wings. The air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned self-contained rooms are available in twin and three-person configurations. The mess, which serves food, is housed in the same structure. A self-service laundry, a gymnasium, and a few other leisure facilities are available.

Ans. Yes, indeed. Conditional admission is possible with the payment of a non-refundable deposit that can be used to offset fees. This service is available to anyone.
All courses, with the exception of Mechanical Engineering, are graded based on the student’s 11th-grade mark sheet and 12th grade pre-final/pre-board scores. However, admission will be confirmed only if the applicant meets the DTE’s requirement for 12th-grade or comparable exam scores.
