Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), is a research institute for agricultural research and education established in 1905. IARI consists of 20 divisions spanning 5 multi-disciplinary centers in Delhi and 8 regional stations. IARI offers M.Sc., M. Tech, and Ph.D. courses in 26 disciplines.

IARI, New Delhi: M. Sc/M. Tech Admission 2022

Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi offers M.Sc and M.Tech programs at the PG level. The course is available in various agricultural specializations. 

Eligibility Criteria 

  • Candidates should have passed graduation with four/six years (10+6 B.Sc. Agriculture) program or a five years’ (B.V.Sc. & AH) program or a 5½ years (B.V.Sc. & AH) degree program to be eligible for application.
  • The candidate should have passed out from ICAR-accredited constituent colleges and ICAR-accredited courses/programs of public-funded/Govt. institutions (Central Government/State Govt. funded) within or outside ICAR-AU system OR ICAR-accredited Private Agriculture and Allied Science colleges and ICAR-accredited courses/programs.
  • The minimum Overall Grade Point Average (OGPA) for eligibility is at least 6.60/10.00 on a ten-point scale, 5.88/9.00 on a nine-point scale, 5.226/8.00 on an eight-point scale, 4.573/7.00 on a seven-point scale, 3.92/6.00 on a six-point scale, 3.25/5.00 on a five-point scale, 2.60/4.00 on a four-point scale for General, OBC, UPS, and EWS categories.
  • For SC/ST/Person with Disability (PwD) candidates, a minimum OGPA of at least 5.60 on 10.00 or 4.98 on 9.00 or 4.426 on 8.00 or 3.873 on 7.00 or 3.32 on 6.00 or 2.75 on 5.00 or 2.20 on 4.00-point scales is required to be eligible for application.

  • Admissions to IARI occur only through the qualification of the ICAR AIEEA (PG) exams, which will be held on 17th September 2022. 

Entrance Exam Pattern 

The ICAR AIEEA (PG) exam is a single paper of 2 hours duration. It is a computer-based test with 120 multiple-choice questions. The medium of the paper is only in English. Each correct response gets 4 marks and an incorrect response gets a negative scoring of 1 mark.

IARI, New Delhi: Ph.D Admission 2022

IARI Delhi offers PhD programs in the agriculture stream. 

Eligibility Criteria 

  • Any Indian candidate who has passed the Master’s Degree program with a minimum of Overall Grade Point Average (OGPA) or minimum marks is eligible for applications to the ICAR AICE-JRF/SRF (Ph. D) exam.
  • The candidate should have passed out from ICAR-accredited constituent colleges and ICAR-accredited courses/programs of public-funded/Govt. institutions (Central Government/State Govt. funded) within or outside ICAR-AU system OR ICAR-accredited Private Agriculture and Allied Science colleges and ICAR-accredited courses/programs.
  • The minimum Overall Grade Point Average (OGPA) for eligibility is at least 6.5/10.00 on a ten-point scale, 5.85/9.00 on a nine-point scale, 5.20/8.00 on an eight-point scale, 4.55/7.00 on a seven-point scale, 3.90/6.00 on a six-point scale, 3.25/5.00 on a five-point scale, 2.60/4.00 on a four-point scale for General, OBC, UPS, and EWS categories.
