Gujarat National University has recently extended the last date of GNLU PhD admission form to September 15, 2022. GNLU provides 5 year integrated LLB program with BA, BSc, BCom, BSW and BBA, one year LLM program, PG Diploma in two disciplines and PhD in different streams. Admission to UG and PG program at GNLU is done on the basis of CLAT ranks. Candidates have to appear in the CLAT exam and then they are allotted the National Law University according to their preference and rank in CLAT. 5th and the final allocation list of NLUs was released by Consortium of NLUs in August 2022. Admission to PG Diploma programs at GNLU is done on first come first serve basis and the admission to PhD program at GNLU is done on the basis of entrance test conducted by GNLU or on the basis of marks scored by candidates in UGC NET.

GNLU: Integrated LLB Admission 

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates who’ve passed 10+2 exam or its equivalent from a recognized board with minimum 45% marks are eligible to apply for admission to 5 year integrated LLB program at GNLU.

Selection Criteria:

Candidates are selected on the basis of CLAT ranking for admission to the 5 year integrated LLB program at Gujarat National Law University. Candidates have to appear in CLAT examination and then on the basis of their rank they are allotted different National Law Universities.

GNLU 5 year integrated LLB program application process-

  1. Visit the official website of CLAT Consortium.
  2. Click on “Registration” and fill the required details (name, mobile number, email and password) and click on “Register”.
  3. Confirm your mobile number by entering the OTP received.
  4. Now Log In to your account and click on the application link for CLAT.
  5. Fill the required details (personal, contact, educational, etc.).
  6. Select exam center.
  7. Select UG in course selection.
  8. Select Gujarat National Law University in the NLU preference for admission.
  9. Preview and submit the application form.
  10. Then upload the scanned copy of required documents and pay the CLAT application fee which is INR 4,000.

GNLU: LLM Admission 

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates who’ve passed LLB or any other equivalent degree in law from a recognized university with minimum 50% marks are eligible to apply for admission to one year LLM program at GNLU.

Selection Criteria:

Candidates are selected on the basis of CLAT ranking for admission to the 5 year integrated LLB program at Gujarat National Law University. Candidates have to appear in CLAT examination and then on the basis of their rank they are allotted different National Law Universities.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidates who’ve passed master’s degree or its equivalent from a recognized university with minimum 55% marks are eligible to apply for PhD program at GNLU.
  • Candidates having a degree equivalent to MPhil are also eligible.
  • Excellent academic or professional background in the relevant discipline is desirable.

Selection Criteria:

  • Candidates need to appear in an online entrance test of 2 hours duration.
  • Then there is an online presentation on the proposed research of 15 min duration before the Departmental Research Committee by the candidate.
