SVNIT Admission

Candidates taking admissions to any undergraduate, postgraduate, or doctoral courses in any specializations must register themselves for their desired courses. The mode of registration is online, the candidate must visit the official website and apply as soon as the forms are out.

Admissions to SVNIT are done based on the marks scored by the applicant in all India entrance examinations such as JEE Main and GATE.

  • SVNIT BTech admissions are based on JEE Main score followed by JoSAA counselling.
  • MTech is offered by the institute in 2 categories-sponsored and non-sponsored. It also offers MTech (Research)

The placement cell of SVNIT Surat is amongst the most active placement cells in Gujarat Technological Colleges. The students are trained to successfully enter the corporate world. SVNIT Scholarships

SVNIT Surat provides some financial assistance by keeping academics as the evaluation procedure of a student, the students are eligible for scholarship schemes from the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) which is usually common in all NITs.

The institute provides financial assistance to students belonging to the economically weaker sections (EWS). A total of 30 Scheduled Caste (SC) and Schedules Tribe (ST) students have been provided financial assistance from SVNIT Surat.

The financial assistance for SC / ST ranges from INR 5000 to INR 20,000.

The candidates who are looking forward to applying for the scholarships must score at least a 7.5 GPA in the first semester to be considered eligible for the scholarship.

SVNIT Facilities

Central Library: SVNIT’s Central Library is the main technological library within the field of engineering/technology. The Library was established in 1968. It’s a 35-year-old library that not only consists of a large collection of books but also consists of a collection of non-book materials along with electronic media available locally on the Institute Intranet.

Central Computer Centre: NIT Surat was the first institute in South Gujarat to get an Internet facility in 1995. It is the computing resource of the institute which acts as a carrier of the internet connection.

Guest House: The guesthouse in SVNIT College is located on the opposite side of the SVNIT. There are a total of 12 rooms in the guesthouse which are fully furnished along with facilities like telephone lines and Television. It’s a one-storeyed building.

Other Basic Amenities: The campus has all the basic amenities to fulfil the needs of the students such as has a post office in front of the main gate of SVNIT, the institute has a developed and effective security system, it also has a dispensary inside the campus for both students and staff of the college. The college has a canteen located behind the Central Library building which remains open from 7.00 A.M. to 7.00 P.M. on all working days including Saturdays.

NIT Surat has one bank and two ATMs at the campus to assist students.
