IIM Indore Mumbai Campus Admission Dates 2026

PGPMX is the campus’s only programme and has two intakes each year. The upcoming intake is the 26th batch. Its application window is expected between October and November 2026, while the course is tentatively scheduled to begin in early 2027. IIM Indore Mumbai Campus Courses and Fees

The Mumbai campus offers only PGPMX. Its INR 21.29 Lakhs programme fee is paid in instalments over six terms. The separate application fee is INR 5,000 and cannot be refunded.

PGPMX is divided into six terms. Students study strategy, finance, marketing, operations, economics and leadership before choosing electives in Year 2. The second year also includes a compulsory five-day international visit under the International Immersion Programme. Participants pay their own travel and accommodation expenses because these costs are outside the programme fee.

After completing the course, students receive the same MBA degree from IIM Indore that is awarded at the main Indore campus. Since sessions are held on alternate weekends, participants can continue earning their salaries and retain their professional seniority instead of leaving employment for a residential executive MBA.

IIM Indore Mumbai Campus Admission Process

PGPMX Admission

Admission to PGPMX is managed directly by IIM Indore through an aptitude test followed by an interview at the Mumbai campus. Applicants do not need CAT, GMAT or GRE scores.

• Eligibility: A bachelor’s degree from a recognised university with at least 50% aggregate marks or an equivalent CGPA
• Experience: At least 5 years of full-time managerial, entrepreneurial or professional experience after the bachelor’s degree, with no exception to this condition
• Nationality: Applications are accepted from Indian as well as international candidates
• Entrance scores: CAT, GMAT and GRE are not required

The course-wise selection route is given below.

1. Eligible applicants first take the IIM Indore Aptitude Test, which evaluates analytical and verbal ability.
2. Those shortlisted through the test attend a Personal Interview with IIM Indore faculty. The discussion reviews the applicant’s professional record, leadership experience and suitability for the programme.
3. The aptitude test and interview take place on the same day at the Mumbai campus.
4. Final selection considers performance in both stages, with substantial importance given to the applicant’s work-experience profile.
5. IIM Indore sends admission offers within 8 days after the interview. Selected applicants have 10 days to accept.
6. A non-refundable commitment fee must be paid when accepting the offer. This amount is included in the total programme fee.

IIM Indore Mumbai Campus Placements and Career Outcomes

PGPMX serves professionals who already have significant work experience, so it focuses on career growth instead of conventional campus recruitment. Outcomes are assessed through advancement to higher roles, salary increases after the degree and movement between industries. The FT Executive MBA Rankings 2025 placed IIM Indore 1st in India for Career Progress and 13th globally in this category.

Participants generally enter the course while holding mid-level or senior positions in banking, financial services, consulting, technology, manufacturing and healthcare. Alumni have moved into senior management, board-level advisory work, entrepreneurship and roles in new industries. Their peer group and the IIM Indore alumni network support these transitions.

IIM Indore Mumbai Campus Rankings

National and international ranking organisations assess IIM Indore and its executive MBA offering. Since PGPMX is mainly taught at the Mumbai campus, the executive MBA rankings apply to this programme.

IIM Indore held the 8th NIRF Management position in 2025, 2024 and 2023. During these three ranking cycles, its overall score increased from 71.95 to 75.68. The FT ranking of 13th globally for Career Progress is based on the salary growth and advancement in career level reported by alumni within three years after graduation.

IIM Indore Mumbai Campus Scholarships

PGPMX does not have an institutional scholarship based on merit. A small number of selected students may receive need-based financial help. The availability and amount of this assistance are stated in the admission notice for each batch.

Major Indian banks and NBFCs provide education loans for PGPMX. Loans may be available without collateral up to limits set by individual lenders, while eligibility requirements and interest rates differ. Banks generally process IIM loans favourably because of IIM Indore’s status as a government institution and its placement record.

IIM Indore Mumbai Campus vs SPJIMR vs IIM Kozhikode

Mumbai-based professionals may compare IIM Indore PGPMX with the SPJIMR PGPM and the IIM Kozhikode Executive Programme in General Management. All three options are intended for experienced professionals, but their schedules, delivery formats and entrance requirements differ.

PGPMX provides an IIM Indore degree, appears in the FT global ranking and uses its own aptitude test instead of GMAT. SPJIMR PGPM lasts one year but requires students to leave work for full-time study. IIM Kozhikode EPGPM combines online instruction with campus learning. These programmes serve experienced candidates who want management qualifications, while the IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Bangalore PGP courses follow a full-time MBA format.
