MAT 2022 is a national-level exam. It is conducted every year four times. The registrations for the February session will commence from the first week of January 2022, tentatively. MAT 2022 February session is expected to be conducted in the second week of March 2022. To appear for the MAT entrance exam, candidates should have passed graduation or its equivalent from a recognized university. 

What is MAT?

Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a national-level entrance exam. It is conducted by the All-India Management Association (AIMA) to seek admission to PGDM/ MBA programs across India. Every year the MAT Exam is conducted four times i.e., February, May, September, and December. The MAT 2022 entrance exam will consist of three modes- IBT (Remote Proctored Internet Based Test), CBT (Computer Based Test), and PBT (Paper Based Test).

To apply for MAT 2022, candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria which are mentioned below.

  • Candidates must have passed a bachelor's degree or its equivalent from a recognized institute or university to appear for MAT 2022 from any stream.
  • To appear for MAT 2022, there is no upper age limit. Candidates of any age can apply for MAT 2022.
  • Candidates who are appearing for the final year of graduation can also apply for MAT 2022.

  • Visit the official website of All India Management Association (AIMA) i.e., www.mat.aima.in
  • After successful login, candidates need to register themselves by creating a user ID and password.
  • Now Candidates with all the correct details need to fill the application form.
  • After filling the application form, candidates need to upload a scanned copy of signature and photograph,
  • Through online mode i.e., Net banking/ Credit Card/ Debit card, Aspirants can pay the application fees of MAT 2022.
  • Click on the button ‘Submit’ final submission.
  • Lastly, download and take out a printout of the application form of MAT 2022 for future reference.

MAT 2022 Exam Centers

MAT 2022 Admit Card

The Admit card of MAT 2022 for both the PBT and CBT will be released online on the official website of the All-India Management Association (AIMA) before the exam. MAT 2022 admit card will consist of details like the Name of the Candidates, Registration Number, Date of Birth, Roll Number, Exam Center, Reporting time, etc. The process to download the admit card of MAT 2022 is:

  • Go to the official website of All India Management Association (AIMA) i.e., www.mat.aima.in.
  • Click on the 'MAT 2022 Admit card' link
  • Candidates need to register by using their user id and password.
  • Candidates need to select the exam mode and enter the Date of Birth and Registration Number.
  • Now, candidates need to log in by using the Date of Birth and Registration Number.
  • The admit card of MAT 2022 will appear on the screen.

Rank Card is that card that consists of complete information about the Name of the Candidate, Scores in exams, Subjects, Roll Number, and Grade. The rank card of MAT 2022 will be released online by the All India Management Association (AIMA) on its official website i.e., www.mat.aima.in. Candidates can download the rank card of MAT 2022 from its official website.

MAT 2022 Counselling

For providing admission, there will be no centralized counseling conducted by the All-India Management Association (AIMA). The MAT 2022 counseling will be conducted in the month of June or July after the declaration of the MAT result. Candidates are required to confirm their ranks for appearing in the process of counseling will be held on different dates on the basis of ranking.

Candidates will be able to participate in the counseling that is separately conducted by the participating institutions after downloading the scorecard. The documents that candidates need to carry at the time of counseling are Medical certificates, Original copy of counseling letter, Marksheet of academic qualification, Admit card, Caste Certificates, passport size photo, etc. The process of Counselling consists of Verification Process. In the verification process, candidates need to carry the original documents for verification.

MAT 2022 Seat Allotment

The allocation of seats for admission into MBA courses in different business schools will be done on the scores obtained in MAT. The MAT participating institute will provide candidates to choose any five institutes. This institute will invite candidates for GD/ WAT/ PI once after the announcement of the MAT exam result. Thus, the All-India Management Association (AIMA) will allocate seats on the basis of merit lists.
