What is MAT IBT Mode?

This is an internet-based, remote proctored examination to help candidates get selected for top management colleges. candidates can take the exam from their homes using their own devices. However, candidates must follow the prescribed guidelines for IBT Mode, strictly. This exam is conducted by AIMA (All India Management Association). MAT is conducted in four phases- February, May, September, and December for admission to MBA/PGDM courses.

Why appear for this Exam?

• IBT mode allows the candidates the choice to be in a safe environment inside their homes and appear for the exam.
• The scores for MAT are accepted in a large number of institutes across the country.
• The general range of MAT Cutoffs in good schools is most of the time above the 80 percentile.
• There are over 350 schools under AIMA which accept MAT scores for admissions.

How will the exam be conducted?

• Candidates will have to first log in using their respective credentials and go through verification. Ensure you have a proper connection available at all times.
• The exam will be proctored using Artificial Intelligent (AI) tools and also will have human proctoring. There will be invigilators to supervise and make sure there is no use of unfair means.
• For online proctoring, candidates need to make sure they are not breaking any pre-specified behavioural rules. The AI will first issue a warning, and if repeated, the candidate might be disqualified. So candidates are advised to be in a still and proper place and avoid using any unfair means.
• The candidates are also advised to keep visiting the website of AIMA regularly as the details will be released shortly pertaining to this examination.

MAT Eligibility Criteria

• Completed graduation in any course from a recognized university.
• Candidates with CA, ICWA, or CS degrees are also eligible.
• Final year graduates are also eligible.
• The candidate should have an internet-based computer for the exam. There is no age limit for this examination.

Step-by-Step Process for how to take MAT 2024 in IBT Mode

• Launch Test- Visit the official MAT sir and look for the Launch Test Button.
• The test will start in a new window and depending on the MSP installed in the system the screen will be redirected.
• Download MSB- The option to download MSB will be given on the screen itself. Any candidate who does not have it is required to download the same for the exam.
• Start Test on MSB- After installation and set-up of the MSB, launch the test. MSB will ask permission for the microphone and camera which the candidate needs to grant in order to start the test. MSB will also ask to close unrequired apps like a web browser or skype.
• Submit a Snapshot- Candidates will be asked to provide a snap of their identity proof and face. Make sure the shots are taken in a well-lit room and avoid any blur. Submit the picture.
• Authorize- It will take 2-3 minutes for the app to authorize the details. In case details are unclear, the applicant will be asked to resubmit it.
• The candidate will get a prompt telling them the test is being monitored and will have to approve to proceed.
• The guideline will be shown on screen and the candidate must properly go through all of it, and then proceed to do the examination.
• Click ‘Submit’ after finishing the test.

MAT 2024 IBT Application Process

The process of registration for the IBT mode is similar to the other modes.

• The application filling is online. Candidates can visit the official AIMA website for this.
• Create a User ID and Password to log in.
• Select the mode of the examination, preferred city, and the mode of payment.
• The payment options are available for Credit/Debit/NetBanking.
• Candidates will also have to provide a scanned copy of their signature and a photograph.
• The next step is to choose the preferred colleges for MAT 2024.
• The fee for this process is INR 1900.

MAT 2024 Admit Card

In order to download the admit card, the candidate has to visit the official website and enter the date of birth and registration number on the login page.

• From the drop-down box, select ‘admit card’.
• Enter the email, DOB, and password.

MAT 2024 Exam Syllabus

• There will be a total of 200 questions (MCQs)
• There will be 5 sections in the paper.
• The time duration is 2.5 hours (150 minutes)
