MAT December 2026 Registration Dates

The PBT form closes a week before the CBT form. Applying for both modes gives you two test dates within the December session; the combined fee is lower than paying for two single-mode registrations.

MAT Application Fee and College Choices

An additional management institute costs INR 118, including GST. If you have already registered for one mode, AIMA lists an additional-mode upgrade for INR 1,700, subject to the options available in the dashboard. The December schedule lists one PBT and one CBT date.

Selecting an institute sends it your MAT score. The institute may still require its own admission form, fee and selection process.

Who Can Register for MAT?

Graduates from any discipline can apply, and final-year undergraduate students can take the test provisionally. MAT has no age bar and does not require work experience. A college's graduation percentage requirement is separate from permission to sit for MAT.

Photograph, Signature and Details Required

Use a recent passport-size colour photo with a light, preferably white background. Your face and both ears must be visible. Glasses must not hide the eyes through reflections. Caps, hats and dark glasses are not accepted; religious headwear is allowed if the face remains visible.

Sign on white paper with a black-ink pen and scan only the signature area. AIMA compares this signature with the signature used during the test and interview.

You also need a valid email address, mobile number, personal and educational details, and an available payment method.

How to Fill the MAT Application Form

1. Create an account at mat.aima.in with your email address and mobile number, then complete OTP verification. Existing applicants can use their registered email and password.
2. Select PBT, CBT or both and enter the test-mode details.
3. Upload the photograph and signature in the required JPG or JPEG size.
4. Select the management institutes that will receive your score. A single mode includes five choices; both modes include seven.
5. Pay by debit card, credit card, net banking, UPI or wallet.
6. Complete the personal, qualification and experience fields, preview the form and submit the application.

The MAT admit card is downloaded separately from the applicant dashboard on the date announced for your mode. It is not sent by post or email.

Corrections and Payment Problems

After downloading and reviewing the registration form, a registered candidate can edit details except name, date of birth, email address and mobile number. For an error in these locked fields, contact AIMA with the form number and the correction needed.

The registration fee and extra institute-choice fee are non-refundable and cannot be carried forward to a later test. A technical duplicate or failed payment is handled separately: AIMA reconciles it with the bank. If money was debited but the registration form was not generated, its refund policy asks the applicant to register again before the deadline and raise the failed-payment case separately.

Use the subject MAT REFUND for a failed-payment email and identify the application, transaction date and transaction ID. Do not send an OTP, PIN or CVV.
