MAT Result 2026: December Scorecard Date, Score and Percentile

MAT December 2026 scores are scheduled by the first week of January 2027. AIMA releases the scorecard in the applicant dashboard. It reports five section scores, a composite score on a 200-800 scale and percentile-below figures.

The result window belongs to the December 2026 examination. The scorecard is downloaded through the applicant dashboard at mat.aima.in using the user ID and password created during registration.

How to Download the MAT Scorecard

Open mat.aima.in and sign in to the applicant dashboard.
Use the registration user ID and password.
Open the scorecard for the examination session you took.
Download the score report and identify its five section scores, composite score and percentile-below figures.

All five sections have equal weight in the composite score. Economic & Business Environment is included. The composite figure is a scaled score, not a percentage obtained by dividing marks by the question count.

What Does MAT Percentile Below Mean?

The percentile-below figure is the percentage of examinees who scored below you in the MAT testing population for that test. It is provided for the five section scores and the composite score.

For example, a percentile-below figure of 90 means 90% of that testing population scored below the reported score. It does not mean you answered 90% of questions correctly. AIMA says the percentile attached to the same score may change marginally between administrations.

Normalization and Raw Marks

Different test forms can be slightly easier or harder. AIMA first normalizes raw performance across sessions and then scales the scores. Its published method uses session-level and overall score-distribution statistics, including mean, standard deviation and a top-score group.

A personal correct-answer count does not provide those population statistics. This is why a fixed multiplication cannot turn a mock result into an exact MAT composite score or percentile.

Each institute sets its own accepted test sessions, graduation requirement and selection process. Sending the score does not submit the institute's admission form. The MAT participating-college list identifies college options; programme-level admission conditions determine whether your particular score can be used.

MAT Results FAQs

Does a 90 percentile mean 90% marks?+

No. It means 90% of the MAT testing population for the test scored below the reported score. Accuracy, percentage of raw marks and percentile are different measures.

Can the same composite score have a different percentile in another session?+

Yes. AIMA states that the percentile-below figure may change marginally between administrations for the same score because the testing population changes.

Can I calculate the exact composite score from correct answers?+

No. AIMA uses normalization and scaling with session and population statistics. Correct and incorrect answers alone do not supply the full calculation.

Does one-year score validity keep every college application open?+

No. A college sets its own admission deadline and accepted MAT sessions. Your score must satisfy its requirements within that application window.

Is the Economic and Business Environment score excluded?+

No. The current score interpretation gives all five sections equal weight in the composite score, including Economic & Business Environment.
