Bengaluru, 22nd May 2023: NMIMS School of Law, Bengaluru, hosted the 108th edition of the Lawyers Round Table(LRT) conference, featuring Mr. J Sai Deepak, a very Renowned Advocate at the Supreme Court of India. The event highlighted the topic ie, ‘The Changing Landscape of Commercial Litigation’. Mr. J Sai Deepak delivered an insightful talk to law students, especially students who are graduating and want guidance on choosing their practice area. LRT is conducted as a monthly knowledge-sharing event that provides a platform for legal and other professionals to discuss current topics of relevance.

Mr. J.Sai Deepak is an independent lawyer before the High Court of Delhi and the Supreme Court of India. He has also been awarded the Young Alumni Achiever Award by his alma mater IIT Kharagpur. The highlight of the event was for the first time in history LRT was hosted in an educational institution, applauding the commitment and capability of NMIMS Bengaluru management, students, faculty, and staff. Mr. Mysore Prasanna founded the LRT initiative and has been assisting the forum for past nine years. He was the ex-General Counsel of The Aditya Birla Group and served as the event’s convener.

During his address, Advocate J.Sai Deepak said he considers himself lucky to have been granted the opportunity to actively contribute and share vital legal rulings within the domains of his specialization. His specialization areas such as civil commercial litigation, including IP litigation and arbitrations, have allowed him to work on matters related to the Companies Act, the IBC, Competition Law, and Constitutional Law.

He further added that due to his appearance in front of the Constitution Benches of the Supreme Court and other high-profile cases, he has been able to make a significant noteworthy contribution to the legal landscape of the country.
