- I like college building and infrastructure which is much better than any other colleges.The campus is very beautiful, rose garden, Bougainvillea garden, herbal garden, fruit orchard, vegetable cafeteria, in front fabulous landscape of college, road divider decoration etc. Faculties stay in the quarters of the campus. Wifi facilities available for students and faculties in the campus. College bus availability are there for students tour. All over campus life is excellent
- There is some plot for agricultural research like performance of yield and quality for different varieties of a particular crop, sick plot performance, genetic variation in crop etc There is an animal husbandry farm and fishery unit also which I liked so much Our campus is so beautiful that you don't need to go outside of the campus when you getting bored. It provides a fresh, beautiful, healthy environment.
Dislikes
- Every thing has some good and bad aspects. But here bad aspects are very less. It's a semi arid area so in the summer it's very hot and dry. And in winter it's very cold ( no snowfall)
- Library should open 24 hours , girls hostel gate closing time should extended a little bit.
Remarks :
I'm very lucky to get admission in RLBCAU. Now I'm the student of 4th year. Under ICAR there is only 3 Central agricultural Universities all over the India and RLBCAU is one of them, college infrastructure is good, well equipped laboratory, good faculties, less fees as compared to other ICAR Universities. I'm the student from Kolkata , jhansi is far enough from my home town yet I choose it for these reasons I mentioned earlier. For admission in RLBCAU, you have to clear CUET exam ( CBT based) it's a all India level examination. Cut off varies every year, but I want to mention an estimate approximation. Closing rank for general category AIR 1500- 2000, for OBC category AIR 3000- 3500, for SC category AIR 12000- 12500, for ST category AIR 13000-13500.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I have special interest in agriculture, Horticulture and I decided to do BSc on it in my 11th class.I had PCMB background. PCB, PCM, PCMB, ABC( agriculture, biology, chemistry) all background students are eligible for this exam. The faculties are excellent here, they are very serious about teaching methods, practical. They are very helpful in nature, good mentor , if you want to prepare for JRF exam ( PG program) the teachers will guide you properly, they take weekly practice tests for it. If I tell about their qualification, most teachers have done PhD, fews have done masters. In a semester there is total 2 terms, mid term exam occur after 3 months of class commencement and end term occur after 3 months of mid term . Mid term is 30 marks ( 12 marks saq, 18 marks laq), end term is 100 marks ( 40 marks saq, 60 marks laq) and an practical exam of 100 marks occur before end term exam
Internships Opportunities :
In 4th year every students must have to do internship in their respective fields under industrial attachment program for 2 months. In Dhanuka agri tech, sales and marketing role with stipend ? 15000 / months. In Wollywood, sales and marketing role with stipend ?15000/ month. In Happypot Garden pvt ltd gardening workshop trainer role with ?800 /lecture. In 8 th semester, different projects work are done like organic farming, natural farming, mushroom cultivation, honey production, prepare propagative materials of different plants, land preparation, water management, fertilizer management, weed management, disease and pest management for particular crop and many more tasks are given to different students group to do .
Placement Experience :
Fertilizer, pesticides, seed , landscape companies come to our college every year , based on academic performance, group discussion and interview students are placed. The companies which visited our college are Dhanuka agri tech, Wollywood, Indorama, Happypot Garden pvt Ltd etc. They offered salary 2- 12 LPA, 70 to 90% students are placed. Students can also go for further higher studies or any government exam ( NABARD, AFO, RBI, PSC and many more ) they are eligible for it. My plan is after ug I will do MSc in horticulture, then PhD and will do research on my field.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
In RLBCAU, per semester fees is 7400 ( yearly it is 14800) and it is constant in every semester for every students. This amount includes tuition fees, caution fees, registration fees, development fees, lab fees and all other charges. There is no extra charges u have to pay through out the semester. At first when the college is alloted then students have to pay 10000 which is seat acceptance fees and students get back this amount after completion of 4 year study. Here, all categories students ( gen, obc, sc, st) pay same amount . ICAR provides NTS (National Talent Scholarship) to every students study in ICAR accredated college . So, we get NTS based on our cgp in every semester. For general, OBC category , the student has to obtain 7 cgp or above and for SC, ST category, the student has to obtain 6.5 cgp or above then they are eligible for NTS; the amount of NTS is ? 3000 per month.
Campus Life :
My campus life is incredibly good, it's a totally ragging free campus, friendly relationship between senior and junior, Many fests are held here like new year celebration, republic day celebration, foundation day of college, independence day, Ganesh chaturthi, navratri, diwali , Rani Lakshmi Bai birthday , drill competition and many more. In all festivals students of the university are participates and they get prizes and certificates. Annual sports also held in the month of March. All the books regarding course curriculum, recent journals, magazine, daily news paper are available in RLBCAU library, there is also an e- library. Library opens 10 a.m to 7 p.m everyday except Sunday. Classrooms are large enough with air-conditioned facilities, smart board, projectors, light, fan, student desk are there. We have social group SPARSH which is run by students only. There are various club under SPARSH like cultural club , editorial club, scientific and innovative club, sports club .
Hostel Facilities :
Foods are nutritious, breakfast, lunch, evening snacks, dinner are available, from Monday to Saturday veg item ( seasonal vegetables, dal, rice, curd, raita, salad )and on Sunday nonveg item.( Paneer for veg people, chicken or eggs for nonveg people). All the students of the university have to stay in hostel , students are not be allowed to stay outside of the campus. The hostel rooms are large enough to stay 2 students in a room, light, fan, cooler facilities are there. Manu hostel for girls and Vikekanad hostel for boys. Girls hostel gate closing time 7:30 pm after that no girls are allowed to wonder in the campus. For hostel no extra fees we pay , we pay only mess fees ?2500 per month.

Campus placements start from the 7th semester for students, once the University criteria is fulfilled. As B. Tech Biotechnology is a newly introduced course, there is no Branch wise Placement data available for B.Tech Biotechnology as of now but the university does attract companies like Nestlé, Yakult, Dabur, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, HCLTech, and so on. The university stated the overall highest package was 60 LPA and the average placement was around 5.4 LPA. My ambition is to pursue a career in Biotechnology in R&D or QA/QC or Biopharmaceutical industry after graduation and enhance my technical knowledge.
