Likes
- The college infrastructure is breathtaking with every corner at highly maintained and cleaned. The campus life at UGI is really great, you get all the freedom that you want but in limits. And also there are strict rules on following the rules and breaking the college discipline which i think is a good approach.
Dislikes
- The one thing that I disliked about the college is the dress code that they have and the rule of checking the id card in the early morning, and failure of which leads to restricting your entry into the campus or class.
Remarks :
The good thing about this college is that you get a different and broader area of exploration with different people and get to know the culture variations among them. The faculty is also from different areas and highly qualified which makes the study more interesting i guess. For admission you have to fill out the online application forms and there is no specific entrance test for taking admission in this college, you just have to qualify the 12th marks cut off which is around 65%-70%.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because I always had curiosity to know deeper about the medicines and the life processes related to human body. The faculty is highly qualified, holding best degrees and with their fine knowledge and grip on the subjects they teach is appreciable. The exams are conducted twice in a semester, first the internals and then externals. The course syllabus is completed within the limited time period which helps the students to prepare well for their exams in time.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes I opted for the internship opportunities in my last year of college and got selected in the BIBCOL firm as an intern with 5000rs as stipend per month, the internship was 6 month long which helped me to get more job opportunities by gaining good experience in this field.
Placement Experience :
To be eligible for participating in the college placement rounds or job opportunities one should be in the final year of their graduation course. There are really good options for job by companies like Cipla, Patanjali, Nestle, Mankind, Ranbaxy, Accenture, etc. The highest package was 10LPA and lowest was 3 LPA for different positions like sales, business counselor, project manager, business associate, manufacturer, etc. Around 55% of the placements were done in my final year. I plan to the Masters in future.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The Bachelors of Pharmacy course per year is 120000 Rs , which is huge. However, since this college is affiliated to AKTU so this amount is justifiable. Apart from this there is a certain amount of registration fees which has to be paid at the beginning of the semester. For all the categories , SC,ST, General , the fee amount is same. However on the basis of your merit or academic performances you might get some relaxation in the fees.
Campus Life :
Many cultural activities are being held in the college campus as well as in the hostels. The very first is freshers party organized in the hostel and college for new comers. Other fests like sports and traditional days are also celebrated. Sports activities like carrom, tennis, cricket, badminton, basketball etc are being played in the respective clubs , run by the college committee of which students and teachers are the parts.
Hostel Facilities :
Yes I did opt for the college hostel which costed around 80000 per year. The hostel facilities are good but not as comparable to the fees paid which is huge for a normal person. The food options were good and cleanliness was average. There are good options for rented rooms or PGs nearby the campus. When applying for the college, selected the option of hostel accommodation at the same time to avail the college hostel rooms at the earliest.

They were no campus place name because I opted for humanity degree and humanities degree comes with no direct placement after UG and it acquires greater and highest studies so right now I am doing my post graduation and the emploibility is very low

Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is well structured and covers both theoretical and practical knowledge which helps to build a strong foundation for a subject like biomedical. I always had interest in human health and diseases which is why I chose this course. Faculties are always willing to clear doubts as they are well qualified in there particular domain. And overall I feel the course provides a good academic environment for students. there is a academic calendar provided which gets updated time to time and exam are conducted according to this calendar only.

Placement Experience :
Campus placements start from the 7th semester for students, once the University criteria is fulfilled. As B. Tech Biotechnology is a newly introduced course, there is no Branch wise Placement data available for B.Tech Biotechnology as of now but the university does attract companies like Nestlé, Yakult, Dabur, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, HCLTech, and so on. The university stated the overall highest package was 60 LPA and the average placement was around 5.4 LPA. My ambition is to pursue a career in Biotechnology in R&D or QA/QC or Biopharmaceutical industry after graduation and enhance my technical knowledge.
