This distance results in an average travel time of around 20 minutes, which can add up over time, especially when combined with a busy academic schedule. While a free bus service is provided, the commute still consumes valuable time that could otherwise be spent on studies, rest, or extracurricular activities. The daily travel can be a bit taxing, impacting the overall convenience for students.
- Lack of Proper Sports Ground and Activities While the college excels in academics and clinical training, the lack of proper sports grounds is a noticeable drawback. The campus has limited sports facilities, offering only a badminton court, a volleyball court, and two table tennis tables. This scarcity of options restricts students from fully engaging in physical activities, which are essential for maintaining a balanced lifestyle. The college is ranked second in Uttar Pradesh, following King George’s Medical University, which holds the top position in the state. The associated hospital boasts a high patient load in both its OPD and IPD, providing students with extensive clinical exposure. However, there are a few challenges. The distance between the hostels and the college is approximately 10 km, although a free bus service is available to mitigate this issue. Sports facilities on campus are limited to a badminton court, a volleyball court, and two table tennis tables. To compensate, the college rents a mini stadium during the annual fest, Avensis, allowing students to participate in various sports activities. The mess facilities, especially for boys, are currently subpar and need improvement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose to pursue a medical degree because of the profound respect. The faculty at Lucknow Government Medical College is exceptionally qualified, with each member holding specialty and super-specialty degrees in their respective fields. At the end of MBBS every one has to do a mandatory internship for 1.5 years at the college hospital itself rotating in various departments of the college. The internship is paid by the government of state with an monthly stipend of 12000rs

Campus Life :
The annual fest of the college is ESPERANZA Which is held every year in the month of September and October. It is a month long fest with sports on initial one month on weekends at mini stadium and other literal events and indoor games in weekdays after college. There is Central library fully air conditioned with all the necessary books. There are a number of instgram pages run by students telling about life , events at campus
Hostel Facilities :
Mess facilities are quite poor for past 1 year for boys hostel ( in the year 2023-2024) Although it has been compensated by college canteen and a no of tiffin services available nearby. For girls mess is functioning good providing quality food.

Campus placements start from the 7th semester for students, once the University criteria is fulfilled. As B. Tech Biotechnology is a newly introduced course, there is no Branch wise Placement data available for B.Tech Biotechnology as of now but the university does attract companies like Nestlé, Yakult, Dabur, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, HCLTech, and so on. The university stated the overall highest package was 60 LPA and the average placement was around 5.4 LPA. My ambition is to pursue a career in Biotechnology in R&D or QA/QC or Biopharmaceutical industry after graduation and enhance my technical knowledge.
