Honest opinion about SRM University Delhi-NCR campus Ghaziabad

- Good and modern Infrastructure , Hi-Tech labs
- Infrastructure of the college is good and the labs are equipped with the advance PC and there are MAC installed.
Dislikes
- College and campus life, location and the curriculam .
- There is no campus life and if you are thinking to have a good decent college life this college is not for you. It is almost 15 KM away from the main city and located in a village area. You dont even get normal shops in the surrounding. There is no such good fest and events which brings interest for you .
Remarks :
My admission basis was on the basis of SRM-JEE , which is conducted by the SRM university itself. And the campus as given according to the merit. But many of my course mates took admission directly in the college and gave no exam or entrance. Also there is no GD , interview if you give you written test. You are directly selected on the basis of merit and campuses are given to you . The higher merit goes for the SRM Chennai and Ramapuram campus and then for the Delhi NCR.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I was a student of B.Tech CSE and due to the technology era which is going on I chose my course. The teaching faculty is good , and well educated. The teaching method is good and practical . But due to the old course and extensive syllabus a student cannot focus on mastering a single thing. There are total of 4 exams. Class test 1,2 and 3 and one final semester exams. Class tests are of the medium to easy level as the questions are directly from the notes and what the teacher has provided in the notes or done during the class. The final semester paper directly comes form the Central university so it is quite above medium level to tough.
Internships Opportunities :
I did not opted for any internship and also college does not allows you for the internship till 3rd year. They clearly deny for giving you the NOC so either you have to do it online or during the non college hours. In the final year also there is no internship opportunity provided by the college. Only placements are offered.
Placement Experience :
There should be no active backlog if you are sitting for the placements and every company has there own criteria for shortlisting the candidates. TCS , phillips, accenture are some of the regular companies for the recruitment. The highest package from my campus was of 24LPA and the average package was of 5LPA. there was not so god placements are many of the candidates were left unplaced due to the recession also. I had a plan of doing my masters so I did not sit in the placement.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I was a student of SRM Delhi-NCR Ghaziabad campus. Tuition fees per year for B.Tech. CSE and BTech CSE with specialization in AI ML is 3,21,000 , in which 3,00,000 is the tuition fees, 10K for the registration , 10K for the extra curricular activities and 1K for the security deposit which is refundable. For other CSE specialization such as Cloud computing, Cyber security the fees is 2,21,000. In which tuition fees is of 2LPA and rest other same. I am a student of 2020 batch my fees was 2LPA but they have increased it up to 2.21 . There is no scholarship as of now if you are a normal admission student. But if you are the topper in the particular semester or a year you get some money back as a scholarship .
Campus Life :
There is only one fest named Rubaroo which is held during the month of September. library is good and extensive. It has all types of books and material. Books other than courses are also available. classroom are good with smart boards installed in some of them. sports and extra curricular activities are held regularly and dance competition, indoor games tournaments are held on the regular basis.
Hostel Facilities :
I did not opted for the hostel. But as heard from my friends the hostel food was not so good and the living conditions were good. A AC two seater room costs for 2 lakh per annum , AC 3 seater for 1.6 LPA and Non AC 2 seater for 1.4LPA and non ac 3 seater for 1.26 LPA. Hostels can be opted through the online site and as the college is far away from the main city mostly student opt for the hostel . So if you are opting for a hostel you have to be quick. Locality is very bad. The college is on the highway so there is not even a single general store . There are 2-3 restaurants which provides stale and very bad food. There are few PG's nearby which are just average.

our course is not for placement , you will get job in many library as per your degree , if you want grad a jobs you have complete PHD in library science . there is no campuss placement in this college for this course . most of student do mlis and UGN net after blis and some of them prepare for government like JNV and asst librarioan posts

They were no campus place name because I opted for humanity degree and humanities degree comes with no direct placement after UG and it acquires greater and highest studies so right now I am doing my post graduation and the emploibility is very low

I always had interest in human health and diseases which is why I chose this course. Faculties are always willing to clear doubts as they are well qualified in there particular domain. And overall I feel the course provides a good academic environment for students. there is a academic calendar provided which gets updated time to time and exam are conducted according to this calendar only.

Galgotias University has a high placement rate with the current tenures placement reaching 5500+ job offers. The highest package was 60LPA and the average goes between 5LPA. The university has a dedicated placement cell and also an well developed student led e-cell. There are many internship opportunities as well both India and abroad.
