- Campus is huge so you'll have to walk a lot to catch lectures in different faculty/department.
- Bad infrastructure and cleanliness : The building is very old and some departments need to get renovated including the walls and floors of classrooms.
Remarks :
The outstanding glory of more than 100 years and historical significance attracted me to join the college and the fact it is in my home city made it more easier . The admission here is done on the basis of an entrance exam conducted by the University itself which is quite easy to crack with no negative marking.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I got enrolled in BSc Mathematics Undergraduate program because I wanted to explore Science and Mathematics. I was fascinated research oriented career. The faculty members are highly qualified experienced and supportive too. The teaching method of few professors lack dedication as they are in hurry to complete the syllabus. Exams are conducted semester wise twice in a year with easy to moderate different level. One can ace the Examinations with limited preparation.
Internships Opportunities :
No currently there are no internship opportunities for the students studying in the second year. Final year students are provided with the internship opportunities in their preferred branch. Example for chemistry student are required to work as a laboratory assistant to manage the equipments and apparatus.
Placement Experience :
Students must score above 75 percent overall to be eligible for the placement. Honestly don't expect to get placement from this college. Students after completing a general UG degree usually opt for higher education as the placement cell provides offer under the professional courses only like MBA Btech BCA etc.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
At the time of admission I paid 11577Rs for the first semester with Physics Chemistry Mathematics as my subjects. As I got Physics under Self financed seat additional 3000Rs was included in my fees per semester. For subjects with laboratory requirements extra 1000Rs is charged per semester. Many Scholarships are available for the students like state Up scholarship and other private schemes. As it is a State Governed University the fees is quite affordable.
Campus Life :
The campus life is somewhat satisfying with greenery all around. Mostly scientific seminars are conducted by the college. Usually during Pre-convocation many Sporting events and extracurricular activities including few competitions are organized in the month of September-October. Recently Surabhi Sanskriti event and a literature fest was organized which included Poster making Speech Debate Singing Dance and other cultural competitions. Adamya is a club for students interested in plays acts or drama. The famous well infrastructured Tagore Library is a gift for students with numerous facilities and reading halls equip with different books news journals and magazines. The Cyber library also gives student a wonderful studying environment.

They were no campus place name because I opted for humanity degree and humanities degree comes with no direct placement after UG and it acquires greater and highest studies so right now I am doing my post graduation and the emploibility is very low

Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is well structured and covers both theoretical and practical knowledge which helps to build a strong foundation for a subject like biomedical. I always had interest in human health and diseases which is why I chose this course. Faculties are always willing to clear doubts as they are well qualified in there particular domain. And overall I feel the course provides a good academic environment for students. there is a academic calendar provided which gets updated time to time and exam are conducted according to this calendar only.

Placement Experience :
Campus placements start from the 7th semester for students, once the University criteria is fulfilled. As B. Tech Biotechnology is a newly introduced course, there is no Branch wise Placement data available for B.Tech Biotechnology as of now but the university does attract companies like Nestlé, Yakult, Dabur, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, HCLTech, and so on. The university stated the overall highest package was 60 LPA and the average placement was around 5.4 LPA. My ambition is to pursue a career in Biotechnology in R&D or QA/QC or Biopharmaceutical industry after graduation and enhance my technical knowledge.
