- The mess food criteria that is, you will be given 1400 rupees per week of your mess fees and you should use it accordingly to get your food.
- You have to walk for 5 minutes to reach your academic block from your hostel, if you have cycle then it will be too useful
Remarks :
The factors which made me choose this college is first of all Shiv Nadar is an Institute of eminence. I chose this college to get some good exposure and the campus environment was too good as well as the researches we do here is really amazing and also the placements was too good. To join this college you have to clear either JEE mains or SNUSAT which is conducted by the college to get into B.TECH courses. Just prepare for you JEE mains exam well so you can easily crack the SNUSAT if you can able to manage the time and know to clear aptitude, verbal reasoning and essay paper. The good aspects of this college is I have already mentioned above.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The reason why I chose B.TECH in Electrical and Computer Engineering is we can learn both electrical as well as computer in the same course. This course consists 20 percent of computer subjects and 80 percent of electrical subjects so that I can get a general basics of computer subjects as well as I can concentrate on more electricals as I have more interest in electricals. But think once, the hardest course in this college is B.TECH in ECE. But don't worry about the faculties over here, they are really helpful and well prepared and there were quizzes conducted to keep you in touch with the syllabus.
Internships Opportunities :
This is my first semester in Shiv Nadar IoE so I have no idea about the internships offered but you get counselling about the internships in your first semester itself so the thing the first year guys have to do is to concentrate more on projects, complete as many projects as you can.
Placement Experience :
I have joined this college in 2024 only, that is I am pursuing my first year in B.TECH so I am not sure about the placements coming to this college, but as I have asked to my seniors I have come to know that there are lot of companies which comes every year and students are getting placed in a good amount.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The annual tuition fee for B.TECH Electrical and Computer Engineering 3,50,000(INR) and the annual living expenses is 2,00,000(INR) per annum which includes mess charges and laundry. Also the admission fees is 60,000(INR) and Caution deposit is 30,000(INR). The hostel fee which is mentioned above is for twin sharing non-Ac rooms. Any other type of accommodation, including AC or single rooms will be shared additionally. And also the tuition, hostel, mess and laundry fees will be revised annually by up to 8%. And there were scholarships for students who scores some good percentage in their boards and JEE mains as well as scholarships based on sports quota is also available. The hostel fees structure was common to every B.TECH students but the tuition fees varies. The given fees details is of current year's fees structure and might vary for the upcoming years.
Campus Life :
If you have to enjoy your college life as well as concentrate on your studies, you can come here to Shiv Nadar IoE where you can get peak fun while studying. There will be fests for every month with DJ parties and stuffs and there are plenty of clubs and sports event conducted to show your talents. I can't elaborate all the events as there a lot, I will tell you guys about the two main huge events conducted by the college. One is BREEZE which is a huge three days event filled with DJ parties and more and more events and the second is SURGE which is a sports event where different college comes and there are PROM nights too:)
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel mess foods where really good where you can taste variety of food items and there are three dining halls with extraordinary infrastructure and the hostel rooms where really good. But the AC rooms or single rooms costs a bit higher than the regular twin sharing Non-Ac rooms.

The course curriculum is well structured and covers both theoretical and practical knowledge which helps to build a strong foundation for a subject like biomedical. I always had interest in human health and diseases which is why I chose this course. Faculties are always willing to clear doubts as they are well qualified in there particular domain. And overall I feel the course provides a good academic environment for students. there is a academic calendar provided which gets updated time to time and exam are conducted according to this calendar only.

Campus placements start from the 7th semester for students, once the University criteria is fulfilled. As B. Tech Biotechnology is a newly introduced course, there is no Branch wise Placement data available for B.Tech Biotechnology as of now but the university does attract companies like Nestlé, Yakult, Dabur, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, HCLTech, and so on. The university stated the overall highest package was 60 LPA and the average placement was around 5.4 LPA. My ambition is to pursue a career in Biotechnology in R&D or QA/QC or Biopharmaceutical industry after graduation and enhance my technical knowledge.
