Likes
- The greenery and the spacious campus is a plus point for me, you feel freedom when you are at such a open and beautiful place. the eyes' soothing campus is what you can expect when thinking about BBAU.
- Campus life is great here, as you are getting a large acre of area covered with trees and large sports grounds with a great Auditorium and a gym.
Dislikes
- I did not like beside of having a large area within the campus but still hostels are only provided to a fraction of students only, All departments are not air conditioned. During summers it is a big deal because you will see a lot of heat within the classrooms, even not a proper number of fans are not installed in few of the departments.
- The health center within the university can be equipped with more facilities for the students as now you can only relie there in case of cough, cold only, but if you had h injury or an emergency then there is no way they are fully equipped to assist you.
Remarks :
I appeared for the CUET 2022, I applied for various colleges including Delhi University (DU), Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Allahabad University (AU), and various other colleges and universities throughout India, but finally I decided to be here because I was getting the course of my preference and as I was on the top of the class list ( based on the CUET results) I was also allowed a hostel room , which also helped me to choose this university, because in other colleges and universities I was not getting hostel allotment and it's quite expensive to live in large cities in PGs , # Admission process was very easy as I already had applied for BBAU through the BBAU-SAMARTH portal, the final step was document verification for which I had to travel from my hometown to Lucknow, the document verification took my 1-2 hour and the very next day I was allotted a Hostel room. The admission criteria were only based on the CUET cut-off marks .
Course Curriculum Overview :
I adopted for this course because the course and the curriculum were very interesting and practical for the real-world knowledge, once every 2 semesters there is also a field trip organized by the department . # All the faculties in the department are very qualified they all have an average teaching experiences of 5-10 years, and all are PHDs in their respective fields from various reputed universities. #In a semester there are 2 mid semester exams before the end semester exam. The mid semester exams are of 10 marks for each subject. Mid semesters are easy and are of 1 hour time limit. The syllabus for mid semesters is usually 1-2 units which is normally the syllabus covered in 2 months. The end semester exams are of 70 marks for each subject with a time limit of 3 hour. All the departmental exams are of moderate level you can easily score good grades. Each classroom is having a marker board along with projector, The department is having a museum which various specimens are placed.
Internships Opportunities :
As of my department is concerned there may not be a direct internship offered from the department, but the department ensure the practical expose apart from the classroom knowledge in form of field trips arranged every year.
Placement Experience :
University is quite behind in terms of placements and job opportunities as the only department where placements are seen so far is of b.tech. , MBA, etc. and that so was very low which was about 3-4 LPA, but university is slowly building its own placement cell, in future a better placement can be expected for now it is very low and minimum. As of my department is concerned there is no placement, as B.Sc. is not a professional course. My further plans are of preparing for a govt exam after my degree.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Fee is paid semester wise, each semester there is a sum of hefty 22 thousand which you have to pay through the university portal, it covers all the fee u have to pay in a semester which usually lasts for 5 to 6 months. at the time of admission my fee was 25900, which included a onetime caution / registration fee of four thousand. the fee structure for all my classmates is the same, besides studying in a government funded central university, my department which is a self-funded department it requires a hefty sum of 22 thousand for the admission. but in case of the UP-state students, they get benefited by the state scholarship scheme. but as I'm a resident of Haryana i do not get the benefit of the state scholarship scheme. the students that get benefitted by the scholarship they receive a yearly payment of money which is around 50 thousand, NOTE: this much scholarship is only given to my department because of its self-funded nature.
Campus Life :
Usually there is nothing we call as a fest in this university, but various seminars and cultural programs are conducted in the university auditorium. And every year twice or thrice a sports meet is conducted in which various departments compete against each other in various games such as Badminton, Volleyball, Kabaddi, Cricket, Kho-Kho, Basketball, etc. There are also various groups like photography groups, rangoli groups, etc. The Gautum Buddha Library is the central attraction of the university compiling a huge collection of various books from every department, which can be easily issued from the library, it also enough space for students to sit and study. separate sitting area for PHD scholars. Classrooms are ventilated and are regularly cleaned. Various competitions are organized such as rangoli making, slogan making, etc. A proper gym is also present in the campus, only closed on Sunday. A proper functional ATM is installed within the campus premise for students.
Hostel Facilities :
Food quality is very average from which you will get bored up, mess fee is about 3000 monthly, mess menu is uploaded within the photos uploaded. Registration for hostel is very easy as when u register to take up admission in the university a mail is sent to your registered mail, you have to fill that form and just wait for the hostel list to be updated on the university website. if your name is in the list then you can further proceed to the hostel office and verify all you document and you are good to go to you hostel room, this process can take up 2-3 days. Hostels rooms are affordable and spacious, usually the hostel is alloted to the Meritos students that performed good in CUET. first hostel fee is about 4200 Rs, after that hostel fee will be around 1600-2000 as per your category which is then paid semester wise, hostel fee is quite low as compared to the outside PG rooms available which is about 4-5 thousand for a single room. Rooms for rent is available on every corner.

Placement Experience :
Campus placements start from the 7th semester for students, once the University criteria is fulfilled. As B. Tech Biotechnology is a newly introduced course, there is no Branch wise Placement data available for B.Tech Biotechnology as of now but the university does attract companies like Nestlé, Yakult, Dabur, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, HCLTech, and so on. The university stated the overall highest package was 60 LPA and the average placement was around 5.4 LPA. My ambition is to pursue a career in Biotechnology in R&D or QA/QC or Biopharmaceutical industry after graduation and enhance my technical knowledge.
