I had to go for btech biotechnology because I couldn't clear the NEET exam. The admission in the college is based on JEE/NEET cut off else the 10+2 results. No interview or GD is taken. The admission is totally merit based.
I wanted to pursue a medical degree that's why I chose biotechnology course. The faculty is qualified as per their time. The teaching methods are different of different teachers. Most of the teachers use projectors and just read the ppt which was probably designed or download decades back with no updated information. Some teachers like to teach on white board. The term exams are taken three times: T1 (20 marks) , T2 (20 marks) , and T3 (35 marks) and the rest 25 marks are given by the course teacher for attendance, projects, behaviour & response. Each term exams is taken within a week. The difficulty level is moderate. The question paper isn't very easy neither very hard.
Not till now. Students are supposed to do a compulsory internship in third year along with the training. Students can also apply for off campus internships during summer breaks or winter breaks if they wish to.
There are good opportunities for placements. It all depends on your skills what kind of package you'd get. Students can sit in the placement from third year itself. Any student from any branch can sit in placements of different companies, they are placed based on their experience (internships) and skills.
During admission the registration fee was 75000, if a student choose to withdraw the admission for any reason only 25000 will be refunded. The fees of every semester is 1.5-1.6 lakh which keeps increasing by 10000 with every semester.
The infrastructure of the college is good. There's no life at campus between 9-5 as only classes are taken in this timing. All the events, fests, preparations, practices (clubs) are always scheduled after 5 PM so it's not really an option for the day scholars to be included in these things all the time. There are no sports clubs in this college. If you wish to play something you can play it in the football court after 4 PM. The cafeteria is the heart and lungs of the college as it's the only place makes the students survive the hectic schedule of 9-5 classes. Classrooms are big but the seats are uncomfortable. The attendance score is the oxygen for the students to survive every semester as students are easily debarred for less attendance. Overall it's not a very happening college I'd say it's rather boring & depressing, until and unless you have fun people with you
I haven't opted for hostel but I have visited it once. The rooms are small for an amount of 100000 per semester fees. The students usually need to share a single room with seperate beds. I have a rented room near the college itself which I find is a better option. Usually hostel students leave the hostel after first year and shift into flats with their friends which is a good option as it saves money and obviously the trauma of being in a hostel with a lot of restrictions especially for girls. The hostel also has a swimming pool but it's hardly utilised.

They were no campus place name because I opted for humanity degree and humanities degree comes with no direct placement after UG and it acquires greater and highest studies so right now I am doing my post graduation and the emploibility is very low
The course curriculum is well structured and covers both theoretical and practical knowledge which helps to build a strong foundation for a subject like biomedical. I always had interest in human health and diseases which is why I chose this course. Faculties are always willing to clear doubts as they are well qualified in there particular domain. And overall I feel the course provides a good academic environment for students. there is a academic calendar provided which gets updated time to time and exam are conducted according to this calendar only.
Campus placements start from the 7th semester for students, once the University criteria is fulfilled. As B. Tech Biotechnology is a newly introduced course, there is no Branch wise Placement data available for B.Tech Biotechnology as of now but the university does attract companies like Nestlé, Yakult, Dabur, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, HCLTech, and so on. The university stated the overall highest package was 60 LPA and the average placement was around 5.4 LPA. My ambition is to pursue a career in Biotechnology in R&D or QA/QC or Biopharmaceutical industry after graduation and enhance my technical knowledge.
There are regular placement drives that are conducted on a monthly basis. We have regular updates for campus placement drives that are shared with us and we can participate in them to choose the best options for ourselves.
Galgotias University has a high placement rate with the current tenures placement reaching 5500+ job offers. The highest package was 60LPA and the average goes between 5LPA. B.Tech computer Science engineering is very tech driven field which , by the assistance of new tech driven laboratories, latest generation technology focused curriculum, is very remarkable field to study and progress in.
Placements and job opportunities at Galgotias university are good. Students become eligible according to their course requirements and academic performance. Many healthcare companies and hospitals visit for placements and internships. After completing B.Sc Nursing, my plan is to work in a good hospital, gain experience and grow in the healthcare field.
