- What I like about the college most is it's infracture.
- Faculties are generally passionate about their job and they always try to help you even past college hours.
Dislikes
- Attendance criterion is what irritates me and everyone the most which is over 90% atleast.
- College is overly-strict I'd say. You will get punished for even the slightest mistakes and most of the times it is in terms of money(fine).
Remarks :
Onw of my cousins adviced me this college and after reasearch on it I found it good enough. The best part about the college I found was it's infrastructure and overall facilities. For admission process you need to give an entrance test that is taken in the college on the time of admission. After you qualify the written exam, you go through a short-interview process which generally includes some more written and oral questions. Entrance tests JEE and CUET both will help you during admission process based on your rank and colleges cut-off.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I have always wanted to become an engineer and at that time PSIT seemed to be a pretty good college in Kanpur since it wasn't much farther from my home and had a good placement record. Any faculty member who teaches you in B.Tech. atleast has a PhD or M.Tech. degree which itself justifies their qualification. As in my experience I haven't been assigned even one faculty whom I had a bad experience in context of teaching or their knowledge in their subject.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I pay Rs180,300 each year for B.Tech. Out of this Rs109,296 is tuition fees and rest is for facilities that are provided. Scholarship of upto around Rs60,000 is provided(governmental) to students who had given atleast 1 attempt in JEE Mains. Financial aid of upto 90,000 is provided to students who had achieved extraordinary rank in JEE mains and/or JEE advance but you cannot apply for financial aid and scholarships at same time.
Campus Life :
Overall social life in college is great. You get to meet new people and college has like 4-5 cafeteria places which does help. A fest IGNITIA is celebrated each year generally in March which is fun. Fest's party nights runs for two days one night of which is celebrity night where you get to attend a sort of concert thing. This fest is launched like a month before the party nights and the whole month you can participate in all different club events, sports activities in "Footprints" which is sports event of college and overall it's all fun. Although the clubs are very political and it is very hard to get to the top position. Related to your course there are a lot of books in college library and a lot of novels or general awareness books as well. There are many instagram pages run by students by the nane of college which are pretty popular as well.

They were no campus place name because I opted for humanity degree and humanities degree comes with no direct placement after UG and it acquires greater and highest studies so right now I am doing my post graduation and the emploibility is very low

The course curriculum is well structured and covers both theoretical and practical knowledge which helps to build a strong foundation for a subject like biomedical. I always had interest in human health and diseases which is why I chose this course. Faculties are always willing to clear doubts as they are well qualified in there particular domain. And overall I feel the course provides a good academic environment for students. there is a academic calendar provided which gets updated time to time and exam are conducted according to this calendar only.

Placement Experience :
Campus placements start from the 7th semester for students, once the University criteria is fulfilled. As B. Tech Biotechnology is a newly introduced course, there is no Branch wise Placement data available for B.Tech Biotechnology as of now but the university does attract companies like Nestlé, Yakult, Dabur, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, HCLTech, and so on. The university stated the overall highest package was 60 LPA and the average placement was around 5.4 LPA. My ambition is to pursue a career in Biotechnology in R&D or QA/QC or Biopharmaceutical industry after graduation and enhance my technical knowledge.
