Remarks :
The admission processed was as per the neet counselling guidelines. I gave my neet ug exam in 2023, and scores 671. I was in the general category and got admission in the third round. The lowest cutoff marks in 2023 was 671, and the lowest cutoff rank was 2600. The admission process took place in person and consisted of 2 phases. A documentation and verification phase and a medical examination phase. The examination phase was to ensure that the applicant is physically fit to be a student of the college and enroll in the course. The document verification is to ensure that the correct person is getting admission as per neet guidelines. The most significant factor about me choosing this college was the national repute it had. After all, an AIIMS is an institute of national importance. It would open up more avenues for me in the future. Aligning with expectations, the AIIMS brand lives up to its name. State of the art technology, with a good patient load, and a very good teaching faculty.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Medicine is a course that is truly as good as it seems from the outside. It's a new experience everyday, and along with the faculty here at the college, a new day never gets old. All of the professor for all the subjects here have completed an md or ms course in their respective field, and therefore are more than qualified to be teaching. The classes are varied in time and distribution, as per need and requirements, but adequate time has been given to each subject. The college also conducts regular internal examinations, to ensure that that the students are keeping up academically, and not falling behind, as falling behind in a field such as medicine can cause a lapse of knowledge which can be catastrophic. Semester exams take place every six months and are of variable difficulty. It's is difficult to quantify objectively how hard the exams are. However, overall, it seems that the exams have been designed to push us to our capabilities.
Internships Opportunities :
Internships are a compulsory 1 year activity after completion of the course and must be completed before applying for any further studies. The internship takes place in the AIIMS hospital itself, and helps give you the skills a doctor needs
Placement Experience :
Being a graduate from AIIMS would definitely add to your resume. It would show that you have been thought your skills by a world class institute. However it is tough to get a job after completing just mbbs, so neet pg or other post graduate plans should be kept in mind too. The college also supports, further studies abroad by means of usmle or plab
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There is no present yearly structure of fees in AIIMS, Gorakhpur. However. The fees are taken as a one time payment at the start of the course, which includes tuition and hostel fees. No further payment has to be made until you graduate, unless you wish to withdraw from the course wherein you have to pay a severance fee of 1500 rupees. Multiple scholarships are available for people of all categories as exams to be given online. These exams are informed about to the students so that they may register and apply for scholarships. There is no change in the fees with change in categories, and an increase in fees would be notified to the public by the government.
Campus Life :
Life at campus can be whatever you want it to be as the college gives you a wide margin of freedom to pursue co curriculars. There are many sports grounds in the campus like a football ground, a cricket field, a basketball court, a tennis court, a badminton court etc. There are also multiple intercollege sports match being conducted. The fest called anahata is usually a fall or a winter fest, taking place anywhere from October to December. It is usually a 5 day festival packed with loads of fun and activities, which are too long to be describe in brief. The library is fully furnished with all the books a student can need and there in never any lack of space in it. The social clubs are still in a rudimentary phase because the college was established in 2019, however, it will show accelerated growth, as more batches invest more time in them.
Hostel Facilities :
There is not much to say about the hostel, as it is as perfect as it can be. You are given a bed with mattress and a pillow, a chair, a table, and a cupboard, and the fees are included in the lumpsum fees given at the start. The mess is unfortunately lackluster at best. however there are more options in a food court, and cafeterias in the complex itself which provide better options than the hostel mess. Infact my advice would be to avoid the hostel mess if you can, as a fees of 4000 per month for miserable food is not worth it

I always had interest in human health and diseases which is why I chose this course. Faculties are always willing to clear doubts as they are well qualified in there particular domain. And overall I feel the course provides a good academic environment for students. there is a academic calendar provided which gets updated time to time and exam are conducted according to this calendar only.

Campus placements start from the 7th semester for students, once the University criteria is fulfilled. As B. Tech Biotechnology is a newly introduced course, there is no Branch wise Placement data available for B.Tech Biotechnology as of now but the university does attract companies like Nestlé, Yakult, Dabur, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, HCLTech, and so on. The university stated the overall highest package was 60 LPA and the average placement was around 5.4 LPA. My ambition is to pursue a career in Biotechnology in R&D or QA/QC or Biopharmaceutical industry after graduation and enhance my technical knowledge.
