Remarks :

I did not face any type of group discussions or interviews or written tests in this college since the admission required an entrance exam named JENPUS UG . The admission process was quite simple. I went there with my guardian to take a look at the college and we thought it was a good college, then the security of the college led us to admission department where they asked me some basic questions about which course I'm choosing and the marks I got in extrance exam, also they took the rank card of the entrace exam and proceeded the admission process further. Then we paid the admission money and taken the receipt. Then our classes started after sometime of the admission. Overall the experience was pretty average because I think they could have added interviews to test candidate's confidence and communication skills.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose this course simply because it was a new course under the West Bengal University Of Health Sciences during my admission year and the course had potential to grow more popular because hospital administration is different from hospital management so people who are more detail oriented about hospitals will be more interested in hospital administration than hospital management. Also I thought that this course can help me grow in my career more in future. Qualifications of our faculty was ok-ok. They didn't hold PhD but they did hold masters degree in their specified position. The semesters were 6 months apart from each. Difficulty of the examination was pretty good but we managed to get aveage of 70% in each semester since we were ready previously.

Internships Opportunities :

Yes I opted for internship twice. Once at Ghatal superspeciality hospital and other one was in Woodlands Multispeciality hospital. In Ghatal hospital, I was assigned to observe the functions of different departments like OPD, IPD, Anti Natal, Neo Natal, Operation Theater etc. and note down those functions. We also had projects on those overviews. And in Woodlands Multispeciality hospital, I was assigned in Medical HR where medical personnel gets hired. I used to assist doctors, communicate with patients, handled the transportation there like ambulance management, documentation of employees as well as doctors etc. We had project on this too as our last semester required an assignment on internship.

Placement Experience :

The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees was 60000 per year and 30000 per semester. Thr tuition fees was 20000 The development fees was 3000 Library fees was 3000 and Other fees was 4000 Same for my batchmates as well. They paid the same amount as I did. Only one of my batchmate had taken direct admission. And she was required to pay 3000 for one time. Our admission fees was 45000 and registration fees was 1200. There was also a scholarship available for us if we get 60% per semester named Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means scholarship. Which gave us 60000 per year during the college period of 3 years. Overall it was affordable for us since we were getting our scholarships.

Campus Life :

The college held our freshers after some months of our admission and it was really enjoyable. Also the college used to organize a lot of other fests as well during festivals as well as anual sports. They used to celebrate Holi and Saraswati puja in the college campus which made all of the students really happy. Since there was annual sports in the college, the students and faculties were very active to participate in that. Books were available in good condition in the library. There's no social group, clubs or websites for students run by themselves as far as I know.

Hostel Facilities :

There was no hostel provided for students in or near the college campus. Only the teachers and authorities had the hostels to stay but the college provided information about where we can get paying guest or room rent within budget which was really good and affordable for us as well. I rented the PG near Chandrokona Bus stand and it was really helpful for me to get vehicle to college. The place was really convenient, everything was available in that locality Overall my experience about PG was really good.
