My Experience at JIIT Noida

- The best thing about the college is it's placement rate. Their curriculum is academically oriented and helps in developing various skills be it technical ones or communication.
Dislikes
- JIIT Noida has 2 campuses- sec 62 and sec 128. The infrastructure of sec 128 campus is not up to the mark as it is still under construction. The campus also lacks transport connectivity.
- College life is not very lavish here. Fests are organised twice a year but not much extra-curricular activities happen here. The fests are also not very fancy, no big artists etc are called.
Remarks :
This college offers admission on the 10+2 marks or jee score, you can register both ways. The counselling in my time was offline and took place in the auditorium of the campus. No group discussions, interviews etc are needed for admission. Good aspects of the college are its curriculum which is up to date, the attention paid on academics and overall good labs and faculty. People may not feel satisfied with college life entertainment here as not much fests, activities happen here. They are very academics oriented. The admission process is quite easy, you have to register on their website jiit.ac.in for admission in the required course. They have a deadline till which you can register after which they announce the counselling dates. To get admission in this college, you need a good JEE percentile or 90+ marks in pcm 10+2.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose the course B.TECH in CSE due to my interest in technology, computers and problem solving. Faculty here are quite qualified with PHD/masters degree from renowned colleges. Most teachers have a great experience in teaching. The teachers teach using their presentations with proper explanation. The teachers are quite helpful and encouraging, they also give good guidance and future advices. Three exams per semester namely T1, T2 and endsem are conducted. T1, T2 are of 20 marks each and endsem is of 35 marks. The exams of most of the subjects are easy and can be excelled with preparation from slides and tutorials provided by faculty, however core computer science subjects exam is quite tough and requires high practice.
Internships Opportunities :
I have just completed my First year in this college, hence no internship currently. However, what i know from seniors is that various companies offer internship with stipend in the third year of this degree.
Placement Experience :
The placement opportunities here are quite good, especially if we maintain a decent CGPA and work on technical skills. CGPA criteria is 6.5-7+ for most of the companies. Many reputed companies visit the campus every year. The average package here is 7 LPA. Amazon, Microsoft, ACCenture and may other companies visit the campus for recruitment. After completing the degree, my plan is to secure a good job through campus placements.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Yearly the fees is approx 4L. Fees has to be paid before every semester.. For first semester, they take 75k fees as counselling fee and further when you are alloted a branch, you are asked to pay around rs 1,51,200 for the complete semester. this includes the caution and registration fess. Further, in sem 2 they ask for rs 1,80,500. Currently, I am going to enter Semester 3 and now I have to pay rs 1,90,200 which includes rs 1,55,000 tuition fees, rs 34,500 development fee and rs 700 for JYC Membership fee. Scholarships are provided to few Sc, St students based on their cg, and board result for first semester. There is no management quota in the college. Financial Aid scholarships are also offered on the basis of family income less than 8 lakh per year and merit.
Campus Life :
Fest held in Sec 62 campus is "Impressions" and is held for two days whereas in Sec 128, fest "Converge" is held. They are held mostly in the month of March-April. Both the campuses have a good library with great learning resources. The classroms are equipped with projectors and AC with bench cum desks. They have TT tables, badminton court, basketball court and a football ground. Hostels also have swimming pools and gym. They also have a lawn tennis court. There are very clubs in the college for dancing, singing, coding, art etc.. Vamunique is the dance club of Sec 128 branch and Abhivyakti is their drama club. These clubs are managed by the students of the college itself. The clubs are well-maintained by the students here.
Hostel Facilities :
I am day scholar however here is a review of what my fellow hostel friends have told me. The food quality is quite decent compared to other colleges. The menu changes everyday. The food is made in proper hygiene and the mess is quite clean. If you are admitted in Sec 128 campus, then you can opt for pg in the same sector as hostel is in Sec 62 campus only and you'll have to travel daily.

They were no campus place name because I opted for humanity degree and humanities degree comes with no direct placement after UG and it acquires greater and highest studies so right now I am doing my post graduation and the emploibility is very low

The course curriculum is well structured and covers both theoretical and practical knowledge which helps to build a strong foundation for a subject like biomedical. I always had interest in human health and diseases which is why I chose this course. Faculties are always willing to clear doubts as they are well qualified in there particular domain. And overall I feel the course provides a good academic environment for students. there is a academic calendar provided which gets updated time to time and exam are conducted according to this calendar only.

Campus placements start from the 7th semester for students, once the University criteria is fulfilled. As B. Tech Biotechnology is a newly introduced course, there is no Branch wise Placement data available for B.Tech Biotechnology as of now but the university does attract companies like Nestlé, Yakult, Dabur, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, HCLTech, and so on. The university stated the overall highest package was 60 LPA and the average placement was around 5.4 LPA. My ambition is to pursue a career in Biotechnology in R&D or QA/QC or Biopharmaceutical industry after graduation and enhance my technical knowledge.
