Remarks :
Galgotias University was my choice due to the excellent modern infrastructure, well-equipped biotech laboratories, highly experienced professors, and strong industry exposure. The admission process was very easy, consisting of a Class 12 marks-based/common entrance exam and then document verification and fee submission. We did not have GD/PI/WT for admissions. The college provides a great learning and campus environment and it can be improved in terms of increased core biotechnology placement options and better industry tie-ups.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The reason for choosing B. Tech Biotechnology is that I love life sciences, research and the scope of the industry in Healthcare, Food, biopharma etc., The syllabus is systematic covering all the major subjects and the laboratories are well equipped, and thus the curriculum is industry relevant. I was convinced by the qualified faculty with almost all of them having Ph.D. From well-reputed colleges and their teaching method to impart us with not just knowledge but with concepts and a vision to work in a relevant field with clarity. Semester examinations are scheduled regularly on time comprising of both internal evaluations and final end semester exams which are of moderate level in terms of difficulty.
Internships Opportunities :
I’ve done my research internships in IIT Mandi and IIT Hyderabad, both of which boosted my practical and research skills. In IIT Mandi, I performed the synthesis and characterization of nanoparticles. In IIT Hyderabad, I worked on ANRF-funded project on biodegradable PLA-microbial dextran based superabsorbent where I worked on microbial fermentation, bioprocess optimization and material development.
Placement Experience :
Campus placements start from the 7th semester for students, once the University criteria is fulfilled. As B. Tech Biotechnology is a newly introduced course, there is no Branch wise Placement data available for B.Tech Biotechnology as of now but the university does attract companies like Nestlé, Yakult, Dabur, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, HCLTech, and so on. The university stated the overall highest package was 60 LPA and the average placement was around 5.4 LPA. My ambition is to pursue a career in Biotechnology in R&D or QA/QC or Biopharmaceutical industry after graduation and enhance my technical knowledge.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The annual tuition fee for B.Tech Biotechnology is approximately ?1,30,000, making the total tuition fee around ?5.2 lakh for the 4-year course. Apart from tuition, students pay one-time charges such as admission, registration, and security fees as per university norms. The fee structure is similar for most students, though scholarships may vary based on eligibility. Galgotias University offers merit-based scholarships, including tuition fee waivers for students with excellent Class 12 or entrance exam scores, along with other scholarships as per the university's eligibility criteria. The fee structure has remained fairly stable with only minor revisions over the years.
Campus Life :
Life at the university is dynamic with equal weightage to studies and events, Cultural as well as technical events, the cultural event “Unifest” and the technical events. It has a huge central library stacked with all possible books, research papers and online journals. All the classrooms are equipped with smart boards and projector screens and Wi-Fi. The university offers excellent sports facilities and other cultural activities. Apart from academics, clubs like innovation club, entrepreneurship club, technical clubs, literary clubs, cultural clubs among others have been set up to enhance interaction and collaboration.

They were no campus place name because I opted for humanity degree and humanities degree comes with no direct placement after UG and it acquires greater and highest studies so right now I am doing my post graduation and the emploibility is very low

The course curriculum is well structured and covers both theoretical and practical knowledge which helps to build a strong foundation for a subject like biomedical. I always had interest in human health and diseases which is why I chose this course. Faculties are always willing to clear doubts as they are well qualified in there particular domain. And overall I feel the course provides a good academic environment for students. there is a academic calendar provided which gets updated time to time and exam are conducted according to this calendar only.
