Good Academics, Strong Placement Support and Active Campus Life
Remarks :
I chose this College because I was interested in computers, programming and technology, and the BCA course offered a good combination of academics and practical exposure. The opportunity to learn web development, AI, Cloud computing and cybersecurity also influenced my decision. The good aspects include supportive faculty, well-equipped IT labs, good classrooms, placement preparation and an active campus. Areas that could be improved include more internship opportunities, stronger industry interaction and a fully operational hostel. For BCA admission, the basic eligibility was passing class 12th. I visited the College campus and appeared for the College's own entrance exam thereafter giving personal interview round, I prepared for the written entrance test by revising basic concepts and important topics from my class 11th and 12th studies. Overall, the admission process was straightforward, and I was satisfied with my decision to join the College itself.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose BCA because of my interest in computers, programming and technology and wanted to build a career in the IT field. The curriculum provides a good balance of theoretical knowledge and practical learning, covering programming, coding, computer fundamentals, networking and other technical subjects. Students also get exposure to web development, AI, Cloud computing and cybersecurity, which makes the course relevant to current industry requirements. The faculty members are well-qualified with academic backgrounds such as MCA, M.Tech., M.Sc. and Ph.D. They are knowledgeable, approachable and explain technical topics in a simple and understandable manner. Teaching methods include PPTs, notes, study materials, practical examples, group discussions and interactive sessions. Term and semester exams were generally conducted on time as per the academic schedule. The exams were moderate in difficulty and could be managed with regular classes, revision and proper preparation.
Placement Experience :
The college has a dedicated Placement Cell that provides students with placement preparation and guidance. Students become eligible for placement opportunities after completing the required semesters and participating in the recruitment process. Around 80-85% of students from my BCA batch were placed. Recruiters during my time included TCS, ICICI Bank and Deloitte. Deloitte also communicated with the College, and some aptitude and interview rounds were conducted virtually. I was personally selected by TCS and received my offers made by each company available to me. The College conducts separate placement preparation after the 4th semester, covering aptitude, communication, problem-solving, resume building company and are mainly related to IT, technical and corporate profiles. After completing my BCA degree my plan is to join the company where I have received my offer and start my professional career in IT sector. Average Package was INR 3.2Lakh and highest was around INR 5 Lakh.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
For my BCA course, the total fee for the complete duration was around Rs. 250000 including admission charges. The fee depended on the payment option. Students who paid the fee yearly had a total fee of around Rs. 290000, while the one-time payment option was comparatively cheaper. The exact breakup of tuition, registration, caution, development and lab fees was not separately provided to me, as these charges were included in the overall fee structure. Fees could also vary according to the year and student category. In 2025, eligible female students received a concession under the Ladli Beti Yojana. At that time, the one-time BCA fee under AKU Patna was around Rs. 189000 for girls and Rs. 219000 for Boys. I personally did not receive any scholarship or fee discount. Students should confirm the latest fee structure and applicable concessions with the college as fees and scholarship policies may change for different batches and categories depending on the applicable rules too.
Campus Life :
Campus life at college is active, interactive and provides a good balance of academics and extracurricular activities. Students from different districts of Bihar as well as outside Bihar, include Nepal, make the campus crowd diverse. The college organises Fresher's Parties, Cultural Events and Holi Mela, with Holi, Eid, Christmas, Dussehra and Diwali are also celebrated on campus. The library has a good collection of books and study materials for students, although I did not specifically check the availability of journals. Classrooms are well maintained and equipped with AC, projectors and smart boards. There are two large IT labs with numerous computers for practical sessions. Sports facilities include Cricket and Tennis. Students also participate in PPT presentations, quizzed, competitions and class activities. I did not personally come across any major student-run club, social group or independent student website, but students actively participate in College activities.
Hostel Facilities :
The campus environment is active, friendly and interactive, with students coming from different districts of Bihar and outside Bihar, including Nepal. The college organizes Fresher's Parties, Cultural Events, Holi Mela and other activities, along with celebrations of Holi, Eid, Christmas, Dussehra and Diwali. Students also participated in quizzes, PPT presentations, competitions and other extracurricular activities. During my academic journey, I did not opt for a hostel because the College did not have an operational hostel facility. I personally have my home here in Patna. During my final year, the College announced plans to introduce a hostel facility in the future, but I did not personally use it or have experience with its facilities.

The eligibility criteria for placement was that students must have 95% in result so company hava come to take students to gave job offer.The highest paid for students was 10-15 lakh per annum as a fresher in company and according to skills .My plan was that after completed my BCA coarse i will do MCA for good sallery and free from financial problems.

Placement is also available in my college. Technical, Non Technical and other courses helps the students for their career placement. We love their courses and placement design by college Administrators. There are very good facilities available also. Every year in my college alot of companies come to my college in job Mela and the selected deserve candidate. College do not provide internship. Job Mela is one of the best opportunity to a student which waiting for job and such a wonderful life.
