This college is under west bengal government so...as you know the government colleges are very much affordable for all the sections of population. So after qualifying the Jenpas - UG exam you get a chance to get admission here. Cutoffs vary every year.
I basically took bioscience...it was pretty decided that I want to treat people, society in a broad way...and nursing is the best option to reach my goal. Thus I gave the entrance exam and got into this college as this is in my hometown and it's basically 10 mins from my home . The transportation system here is also very impressive. Near to the station, near to busstand what else do we need.
There are no such stuff like placements in our college. But our college does the internship thing for the last 6 months in 4 th year of college. And we also get stipend with it too which currently is of ?5500 per month.
Placements are not being offered from our college solely. But internship is being offered in the last 6 months mandatory for the completion of the four year course. The placement thing is solely on you like how capable are you to get into one hospital. But this college has nothing to do with it.
Thus college charges a very minimum fee to get admission here which is less than ?300. There are 8 semesters and for each semester you get to enroll for the exams which costs ? 1000 each time . And some funding for college is to be done to organise various events and all so that is also required.
Campus Life is the most important part where you get to know your college more closely and participation is a whole another experience. The freshers are generally conducted after the completion of the admission procedure of the students. A book full of library is also available inside this college. The collection of the books are in a vast range. Sports and extracurricular activities are welcomed every year in the winter season mainly. There are groups of students which run by themselves, they are basically for the help of the other students.
Campus Life is lit actually. We get to experience the freshers, lamp lighting ceremony, foundation day, independence day, saraswati puja and what not!? The campus is also well maintained and has 4 gardens of its' own. A pond with fishes are also there. There are 4 canteens. All the four are affordable and available during the college hours ...the canteens under the mbbs hostels are available 24*7 though. There is no hostel currently assigned to the bsc nursing students. But accommodation options are pretty high as you go outside the premises of the college. The charges may vary as you get it on your own.
