All about Government Polytechnic Gorakhpur
Remarks :
To gain admission here I had to take and qualify JEECUP exam. I chose this college because it's affordable and it is a government college. One can prepare for JEECUP by simply studying their concept. You can take admission in 1st year by taking the group A exam after high school or you may take lateral entry after Sr. Secondary by Group K exam. College overall is okay for a certificate but for real knowledge one needs to study by themselves. The infrastructure of the college is really poor and the faculty are mean people.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Scholarship and fees are good, but you need to maintain 75% attendance for a scholarship, or else write apology letters. Teachers here are B. Tech and M. Tech but they don't teach well, if you want to do something just do self-study.
Internships Opportunities :
We did internship at NE RAILWAY WORKSHOP for 2 months. It was really good. We got to experience and explore new things. In the end, we got certificates, and we got practical marks on behalf of those certificates.
Campus Life :
The campus environment is very competitive. Everyone here wants to show their dominance and skills. There are no such sports or extracurricular activities. Hostel is not recommended, better go for a room on rent.

They were no campus place name because I opted for humanity degree and humanities degree comes with no direct placement after UG and it acquires greater and highest studies so right now I am doing my post graduation and the emploibility is very low

The course curriculum is well structured and covers both theoretical and practical knowledge which helps to build a strong foundation for a subject like biomedical. I always had interest in human health and diseases which is why I chose this course. Faculties are always willing to clear doubts as they are well qualified in there particular domain. And overall I feel the course provides a good academic environment for students. there is a academic calendar provided which gets updated time to time and exam are conducted according to this calendar only.

Campus placements start from the 7th semester for students, once the University criteria is fulfilled. As B. Tech Biotechnology is a newly introduced course, there is no Branch wise Placement data available for B.Tech Biotechnology as of now but the university does attract companies like Nestlé, Yakult, Dabur, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, HCLTech, and so on. The university stated the overall highest package was 60 LPA and the average placement was around 5.4 LPA. My ambition is to pursue a career in Biotechnology in R&D or QA/QC or Biopharmaceutical industry after graduation and enhance my technical knowledge.
