- The infrastructure of the classrooms is very nice and the library has all the books and resources for helping us to study. Campus is very stable and there is no ragging in the college. Faculty is also very supportive if you are good in academics.
Dislikes
- What I don't like about college is that there are always exams or practical's going on at the same point of time so many students face pressure at that point of time.
Remarks :
I chose Jaypee because it is one of the most reputed private engineering colleges in Delhi-Ncr. it has a very high placement record in Computer science upto more than 85 percent of students are placed with an average package of 4,00,000 lakh to 15,00,00 lakh per annum. It also has a good infrastructure for students. There are no sports facilities inside the college. The swimming pool is available only for hostellers. The cutoff for computer science is more than 95 percent in boards or high percentile jee mains. In biotechnology, the average cutoff is 75 percent and students can get easily admitted into the college. I got through an online entrance test which was quite easy and had questions from physics, chemistry, and biology of class 12th, I didn't prepare specifically for the entrance test as i had just cleared 12th.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose B tech Biotechnology because it was the only viable option apart from MBBS for a medical student as I didn't have a math background in 11th and 12th. The faculty of the college is well qualified and experienced. Most of the faculty members have PhD degrees in their area of interest. They mostly teach from the slides of lectures made by them. Their teaching method is very simple and most of them each bilingually. There are 3 exams in total in a semester . 2 unit tests happen at an interval of 1 month each of 20 marks and a final exam at the end of the semester for 35 marks the rest 25 marks are based on teachers' asse. The difficulty of the exam is easy as nothing comes from outside the slides. The fees of the course are high compared to other colleges. 12,00,000 for tech is charged from each student . Each semester the fees in 1.5 lakhs and 1 lakh additional if you have opted for hostels. There is no scholarship assistance provided by the college in any form.
Internships Opportunities :
As I am in my second year I have not done any internships until now but I am planning to do some internships in the third year. but the college gives many opportunities to students who want exposure to industry.
Placement Experience :
The eligibility for most companies coming for placement is above 7 Cgpa. Companies like Amazon, Microsoft, and IBM also come for placements offering a package between 3,00,000 to 15,00,000 Lakh rupees per annum for the computer science department whereas in the biotechnology department the placement averages from 2,00,00 to 8,00,000 rupees per annum. There are only one or two students who get a package above the given salary and there is a 100 percent placement ratio for biotechnology students. The highest package offered was to 1 student by Amazon for 50 lakhs per annum as a computer science developer. My plan after doing the degree is to pursue a master's in microbiology area.
Campus Life :
There are 2 fests conducted in the college, one happens in March known as Impressions in which all the hubs and societies of the college including the dance, singing, drama, debate, yoga, etc. are conducted by the students inside the college. There is also a DJ night for students in the evening. The second event happens in September for the introduction program organized for newly admitted students. Our college has fully centralized AC and an abundance of books is there. The college has also provided open wifi for all students which can be accessed by the students through their enrollment id. There are mostly no sports or extracurricular activities for the students. Ribose is tbiotechnology hub of Jiit and I am also its member. It organizes Activities related to biology and technology. The hostel of college is very expensive as the charge for one semester is 1,00,000 Rupees. Food is average and there is a change in the menu every week for every day. There are many pages.

They were no campus place name because I opted for humanity degree and humanities degree comes with no direct placement after UG and it acquires greater and highest studies so right now I am doing my post graduation and the emploibility is very low

The course curriculum is well structured and covers both theoretical and practical knowledge which helps to build a strong foundation for a subject like biomedical. I always had interest in human health and diseases which is why I chose this course. Faculties are always willing to clear doubts as they are well qualified in there particular domain. And overall I feel the course provides a good academic environment for students. there is a academic calendar provided which gets updated time to time and exam are conducted according to this calendar only.

Campus placements start from the 7th semester for students, once the University criteria is fulfilled. As B. Tech Biotechnology is a newly introduced course, there is no Branch wise Placement data available for B.Tech Biotechnology as of now but the university does attract companies like Nestlé, Yakult, Dabur, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, HCLTech, and so on. The university stated the overall highest package was 60 LPA and the average placement was around 5.4 LPA. My ambition is to pursue a career in Biotechnology in R&D or QA/QC or Biopharmaceutical industry after graduation and enhance my technical knowledge.
