- I like the greenery and the open environment. Students can sit in garden, take long walks, faculty is available 24x7 each students is assigned with mentor with whom students can discuss issues and take help in both college and hostel matters.
- Overall campus life is really good there is canteen facility and sports ground like for foot ball, basketball ball badminton to play.
Dislikes
- Use of Acs in the classroom and office cause excessive heat despite of the fact that there are trees all over the college.
- Hostel infrastructure needs to be improved.
Remarks :
I had appeared for the CET test and according to rank, I was selected in the merit list for the college and the admission process was held online mode to the affiliated university (GGSIPU) after that, we had to pay college fees physically mode after completing the documents round. (For both college and hostel fees). The admission process was a bit longer as we had to fill in many documents as it is army army-based college and only army wards are given admissions. There are a total of 100 seats available for the course. Including BEd and Special BEd
Course Curriculum Overview :
Teachers are well educated and knowledgeable with experience of many yea few of them are PhD holders. They use various methods like model teaching, lecture method demonstration method, hybrid method etc. They provide support to each student through out the course encourage them to participate in activities and help them grab opportunities. Internal exams are conducted twice - once after completing half syllabus and once after completing the whole syllabus afterwards midterms and final examination. In the form of written and viva, presentations. The level of exams was by what was taught in class and how much students gained from it overall all good. After the NAAC visit college got an A grade and fees were raised in between the courses those who had already paid the semester fee had to pay extra fees and new admissions fees were raised accordingly. Scholarships were provided by the Army welfare society to those who passed the criteria and scored the marks accordingly.
Internships Opportunities :
The college provides internships starting from the 2nd semester to the 4th semester at different time durations all students have to complete them. Different activities to be completed during the internship with the school to get the certificate from school like to understand infrastructure, school system, curriculum, teaching skills, examination etc.At different locations. In private schools and army schools. All students must take internships and complete all the assignments, and projects and also attend classes at college.
Placement Experience :
The college provides placement opportunities to all the students, students can also opt-out of the placement facility by filling out a form. Schools from different places come to the college and sometimes students go to school for interviews and placement training is provided to students through demo interviews by teachers and facilities at the college. Almost all students get placement till the end of the semester Teachers provide information even after completing the course regarding vacancies to their students.
Campus Life :
Annual Cultural fest Ullas held every year in April - May at college and intercollegiate level for three days including events like- dance, singing, acting, role play, poster competition, rangoli competition, wall painting, painting etc. Classrooms are big enough and separate platforms for teachers, The projector board, blackboard, and soft boards on all the walls display students' work seating arrangement is good and well-ventilated with doors and windows. The library is built in a separate building according to the courses - all types of books including NCERT books and study guides newspaper competitive exams books. All students are provided with books set at the start of the new semester both in physical and hard forms, various research papers available etc. Sports day held according to the university and those who win are then sent to the university level. Campus placements start from the 7th semester for students, once the University criteria is fulfilled. As B. Tech Biotechnology is a newly introduced course, there is no Branch wise Placement data available for B.Tech Biotechnology as of now but the university does attract companies like Nestlé, Yakult, Dabur, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, HCLTech, and so on. The university stated the overall highest package was 60 LPA and the average placement was around 5.4 LPA. My ambition is to pursue a career in Biotechnology in R&D or QA/QC or Biopharmaceutical industry after graduation and enhance my technical knowledge.
