- campus is big and the faculty are very supportive
- fee is far less than any other university that offer biotechnology as self finance course
Dislikes
- roads within institutions are broken and not feels like world class institute you've to wait for good infrastructure
- we have no access to botanical garden the canteen is far away from science faculty so we prefer to get to eat from outside gate
Remarks :
I was looking for a biotechnology institute with a low fee structure and high quality of study, moreover, it's nearby my residence, there was an entrance test for admission in a particular course and after that the counselling process.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The biotechnology syllabus is well managed and prepared in this institution with equal distribution of all the possible aspects and learning within the particular stream, you get regular classes, the faculty are well qualified and experienced with lots of research scholars under them and they're very supportive and polite to us, exams happen every 6 months with a practical and submission of the dissertation work and individual subjects have their seminar and presentation for the overall development of the skills and communication skills within the student-faculty are PHD with postdocs they teach mostly through a presentation that is digital, fee generally don't hike frequently as it is a government institution moreover up scholarship scheme roll over the entire fee to student and students can also apply for National scholarship as per their merit
Internships Opportunities :
I applied for ICMR in the last sem currently there was a notification of different summer internships many of my classmates have applied for and learnt something from it DDU itself is also good as our dissertation work lets us learn new skills within the institute too.
Placement Experience :
Internships are regularly more than the usual average of DDU in the biotechnology department they've signed an MoU with ICMR Gorakhpur and professors always inform us about any internship recently organised by DDU itself and campus placement is not there you've to get to the companies for a job or crack NET for work as research fella but you can apply as lecturer and assistant professor for any biology stream
Campus Life :
There is generally no fest but cultural activities functions debate competition poster singing drama by different faculty moreover the students organize freshers and farewell which is fun if you're involved library provides more than enough books for issuing and there is great space as per strength and there is also a university central library state level sports, NSS, NCC all are available campus have a gym, basketball court and enough ground to practice other than this you can join socio-political groups which is why DDU famous, Rajnath Singh one of our alumni is defence minister of India all depends on your interest you can get university news through Whatsapp channel or Instagram page they're very updated, the hostel is allotted with affordable price to student girls have also safe hostel but you can't expect for good food.

They were no campus place name because I opted for humanity degree and humanities degree comes with no direct placement after UG and it acquires greater and highest studies so right now I am doing my post graduation and the emploibility is very low

The course curriculum is well structured and covers both theoretical and practical knowledge which helps to build a strong foundation for a subject like biomedical. I always had interest in human health and diseases which is why I chose this course. Faculties are always willing to clear doubts as they are well qualified in there particular domain. And overall I feel the course provides a good academic environment for students. there is a academic calendar provided which gets updated time to time and exam are conducted according to this calendar only.

Campus placements start from the 7th semester for students, once the University criteria is fulfilled. As B. Tech Biotechnology is a newly introduced course, there is no Branch wise Placement data available for B.Tech Biotechnology as of now but the university does attract companies like Nestlé, Yakult, Dabur, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, HCLTech, and so on. The university stated the overall highest package was 60 LPA and the average placement was around 5.4 LPA. My ambition is to pursue a career in Biotechnology in R&D or QA/QC or Biopharmaceutical industry after graduation and enhance my technical knowledge.
