British Council India 70th Anniversary Scholarships will offer Indian women the chance to work in world-class research environments and also collaborate in international research teams. As part of the 70th anniversary in India celebrations, the Council awarded fully-funded scholarships to 100 Indian women to study STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) subjects at UK's premier, higher education institutions.

British Council India 70th Anniversary Scholarships program to study in UK has two objectives:

a) The British Council to be a partner in India's economic growth, and
b) to meet the knowledge ambitions of states across India.

The candidates were selected from Tier I, II and III cities and districts. They will be trained by the British Council to enable them to create an impact on their work in STEM through effective use of social media and science communication.
