Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Requirement for Academic Status:

Biology, Chemistry, Geology, or Physics are the four subjects that carry a practical endorsement. Mathematics is included in the A*AA level offer.
A grade of A in mathematics at the A level (or equivalent) and the BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma/OCR Cambridge Technical Extended Diploma-D*DD are necessary.
Score on the IB Diploma: 38, with a 666 in math and one STEM subject (physics, chemistry, or biology) at the advanced level.

Applications from mature students with non-standard qualifications or have taken a gap from their studies are also welcome, as are those with alternative qualifications that meet our regular entry standards.
The Foundation Programme offers diverse degrees to prepare you for a variety of specific degree courses in case you don't meet our standard entry requirements.

Science A grades
Candidates pursuing Science A levels with a practical component must take and pass this in order to be admitted. This is limited to candidates enrolled in an English examination board for their A levels.
