The position of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Research, Partnerships and International will be reporting to the Vice-Chancellor. He/ She will contribute to the overall leadership of the University. They will be working collaboratively as part of an effective team to shape Notre Dame’s courses, strategy and mission. The position leads a broad portfolio including:
- Research
- International
- Strategic Partnerships
- Student Recruitment and Marketing

The Role of Deputy Vice Chancellor, Research, Partnerships and International
The challenging position of Deputy Vice Chancellor will play a lead role progressing Notre Dame’s renewal program. The role will consists of handling and improvement of leading initiatives aimed at
- Improving research quality for universities in Australia
- Capacity and capability of the university
- Maximizing research funding and partnerships
- Enhancing and improving research training
- Leadership to drive domestic and international student load
- Working collaboratively with Executive Deans and other colleagues
- Strategically building and improving student enrolments
- Expanding opportunities for students from diverse and marginalized backgrounds
Deputy Vice Chancellor International and Partnerships encompasses International, Pathways, VET courses and the Office of the Academic Registrar. Recently, the University of Notre Dame has started an ambitious program focused on growth, research intensification, internationalization and strengthening its national structure. This will put more pressure and job responsibilities on the Deputy vice Chancellor. This will also include research and broader engagement, both locally and internationally.
The present Deputy Vice Chancellor for the University of Notre Dame for International & Partnerships is Professor Michelle Campbell. She joined the University of Notre Dame in January 2021. She is presently the Vice President of the Australian Association of the Order of Malta, and Chair of the Board Order of Malta Clinic in Dili Timor Leste. The other members of the Executive management team includes:

- They will also be handing the development and maintaining strategic partnerships and collaborative agreements.
