Christ College, Jagdalpur was founded in 2001 as a self-financing religious minority institution for higher education. The college is affiliated with Bastar Vishwavidyalaya, Jagdalpur.

The institution is managed by the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate, CMI, Nirmal Province, Jagdalpur, with the aim of combining sacred and secular education. Located in the semi-urban city of Jagdalpur, the college encourages students from ST, SC and OBC communities to pursue higher education, strengthen their future prospects, and prepare themselves to meet the challenges of modern life with confidence and courage.
