Government First Grade College Byndoor was established in 1983 by the Government of Karnataka in Udupi District. The college being affiliated with Mangalore University is recognized under the 2f and 12 (B) status of the UGC Act and has been accredited by NAAC with B Grade. Government First Grade College offers BA, B.Sc, B.Com, and BBM programs at the undergraduate level. Admission is done on the basis of merit in previous qualifying examinations.

The B.A degree is offered in History, Economics, Political Science, and Optional Kannada. The college placement cell ensures that every student is employed. The incentives granted per month apart from the basic salary range from INR 10,000 to INR 1 lakh.
