Nabadwip Vidyasagar College, Nadia, was established on 5th March 1942 as an extension of Vidyasagar College of Kolkata. From 1942 to 1948 it worked as a branch of Calcutta Vidyasagar College. After 1948, it was separated, and started work as an independent college.

At the UnderGraduate level, this college offers courses in Art, Commerce, Science. The application process is online. The foreign students need to have a Student-visa for admission. Candidates should pass their 10+2 from any recognized board with 5 subjects. English must be there.

Students from Distance Learning Council i.e. Rabindra Mukta Vidyalaya, National open school are also allowed to take admission. The criteria for them are the same as above.

For the admission in Hons. Courses, the total marks in boards, and the mark in the subject of specialization will be taken under consideration. For admission in General courses, only the total marks obtained in the board exams will be considered.
