NITTTR Chennai Scholarships

Some of the scholarships offered by the college are:

• Full-time Doctoral Research Fellowship: This fellowship is for candidates who want to pursue a Ph.D. degree in Engineering Education (Inter-disciplinary) at NITTTR Chennai. The fellowship covers the tuition fee, research grant, contingency grant, and a monthly stipend of Rs. 25,000 for the first two years and Rs. 28,000 for the next two years. The candidates have to qualify the entrance test and interview conducted by NITTTR Chennai and the University of Madras.

NITTTR Chennai offers various facilities for students. Some of them are given below:

• Library: The fully air-conditioned library at the institution has 30,000+ books, 4500+ volumes, and nearly 1700 journals that fuel the academic and research activity of the institute and provide a peaceful study environment.
• Laboratories: The institute has well-equipped laboratories for various disciplines of engineering and technology, such as electrical, electronics, communication, computer science, mechanical, civil, environmental, etc. The laboratories have state-of-the-art equipment and software to facilitate hands-on learning and experimentation.
• Hostel: The institute has separate hostel facilities for men and women participants with comfortable rooms, dining halls, recreation facilities, internet access, etc. The hostel can accommodate up to 300 participants at a time.
• Guest House: The institute has a guest house for visiting faculty, experts, dignitaries, etc., with well-furnished rooms, conference halls, dining facilities, etc. The guest house can accommodate up to 50 guests at a time.
• Auditorium: The institute has a spacious auditorium with a seating capacity of 500 people. The auditorium is equipped with modern audio-visual systems and is used for conducting seminars, workshops, conferences, cultural events, etc.
• Sports and Gymnasium: The institute has a sports complex with facilities for indoor and outdoor games such as badminton, table tennis, chess, carrom, volleyball, basketball, cricket, etc. The institute also has a gymnasium with fitness equipment and trainers for the physical well-being of the participants.
