DPG Degree College Courses and Fees

Students can choose courses in engineering, science, commerce, arts, law, pharmacy, management, and computer applications. The 4-year B.Tech fee is between INR 3.56 Lakhs and INR 6.00 Lakhs. The 3-year BA, starting at INR 1.14 Lakhs, is among the lower-cost undergraduate choices. The college also combines integrated law, engineering, and science courses on one campus. Its Full Stack Development B.Tech is a job-focused option separate from the standard CSE course.

DPG Degree College Admission Process

The route to admission depends on the course. Haryana state counselling is used for technical programmes, while most non-technical courses accept students through merit based on their qualifying examination. CUET scores may also be considered for undergraduate merit.

B.Tech Admission

• Applicants must pass Class 12 in the science stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and at least 45% aggregate. A valid JEE Main score is required.
• Step 1: Take JEE Main and secure a valid score.
• Step 2: Complete HSTES counselling registration and add DPG Degree College to the preference list.
• Step 3: After seat allotment, report to the college for document checks and fee payment.
• Institution-level direct admission is also possible using the JEE Main score. Diploma holders with 45% can seek entry to the second year through HSTES lateral-entry counselling.

B.Pharm Admission

B.Pharm applicants use the HSTES pharmacy counselling process and must have a valid NEET score. The course requires Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and at least 45%.

BCA, BBA, BA, BSc, and B.Com Admission

Selection for these courses is made directly from Class 12 marks. General-category applicants need at least 45% in Class 12 and must submit the application through the college admission portal. A CUET UG score can be used as an extra merit factor during shortlisting.

Law Programme Admission

Preference is given to applicants with a valid CLAT or LSAT score. The college also permits direct merit admission. The 3-year LLB uses graduation marks, while BA LLB, BBA LLB, and B.Com LLB use Class 12 marks. Each route requires at least 45% in the relevant qualifying examination.

MBA Admission

An MBA applicant needs a graduation degree in any subject with at least 50%. A valid CAT, MAT, CMAT, or XAT score is accepted, and the final decision also includes a personal interview.

Other Postgraduate Admissions

MCA, MSc, MA, M.Com, and LLM applicants are considered through graduation merit or CUET PG. MCA requires Mathematics at the graduation level and at least 50%, while MSc requires a relevant BSc degree with 50%.

DPG Degree College Placements

The Training and Placement Cell manages recruitment activities at the college. Of the 200 students registered for the 2024 placement drive, 60 students secured jobs. This produced an overall placement rate of 30%. The average salary was INR 4.7 LPA, and the highest salary reached INR 7.68 LPA.

Since the college was established in 2015, its placement network is still developing. B.Tech CSE and BCA-AI/ML have the highest placement rates among its streams. Many arts, commerce, and science graduates combine job opportunities with preparation for government examinations or further study in programmes such as MBA, LLM, and MSc.

Companies that regularly recruit from the college include Cognizant, ICICI Bank, Bajaj Capital, Deloitte, Tech Mahindra, Capgemini, Reliance Jio, Toyota, Amazon, and Just Dial. Its Gurugram location also gives students access to off-campus roles in the NCR region, particularly in information technology, banking and financial services, insurance, and retail.

DPG Degree College Scholarships

The college provides its own merit awards and helps eligible students apply for Haryana state and central government scholarships.

Applications for central schemes must be filed through the National Scholarship Portal by its yearly deadlines. Institutional merit awards are granted during admission and may be renewed each year if the student maintains the required academic performance.

DPG Degree College Campus and Infrastructure

The 23-acre campus is located in Sector 34, Gurugram, beside the Delhi-Jaipur Expressway. Cyber City and Udyog Vihar, two major Gurugram employment centres, are 15 km away. Male and female students have separate air-conditioned hostels within the campus.

Academic facilities include smart classrooms, a central library, management facilities, departmental science laboratories, and computing laboratories. A dedicated computer lab is used for practical work in BCA and B.Tech. Students can use facilities for cricket, football, basketball, volleyball, badminton, and gym-based exercise.

Other services include a medical room, food court, bookshop, and open-air amphitheatre. Through the on-campus IGNOU Study Centre, students may take distance-learning programmes alongside their regular MDU-affiliated degrees.

DPG Degree College vs GD Goenka University vs K.R. Mangalam University

DPG Degree College, GD Goenka University, and K.R. Mangalam University are private, multidisciplinary institutions in Gurugram. DPG is an MDU-affiliated degree college, while the other two operate as private universities and award their own degrees.

Fees at DPG Degree College are lower across the listed streams, especially for arts, science, and commerce. Its students receive an MDU Rohtak degree and have access to the NCR employment region. GD Goenka University and K.R. Mangalam University provide degrees in their own names and have broader private-university campus facilities. These differences allow students to compare cost, degree-awarding body, location, and campus facilities before choosing an institution.
