National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRDPR), was established in 1958 in Hyderabad. It is an autonomous organization under the Union Ministry of Rural Development. It is internationally recognized as one of the UN-ESCAP Centres of Excellence. NIRDPR offers a one-year PGDRDM and one-year Diploma courses like PGD in Sustainable Rural Development, Tribal Development Management, etc.

NIRDPR offers PGDRDM (Post-Graduate Diploma in Rural Development Management) as its flagship course. To be eligible for admission, candidates must secure a minimum of 50% marks (45% in the case of reserved categories) in Graduation from any recognized university. The final selection will be based on the CAT, MAT, XAT, ATMA, or CMAT exam scores followed by a Group Discussion and Personal Interview. NIRDPR fees for the PGDRDM course is INR 5.7 lakhs.

NIRDPR Placements 2020 for the PGDRDM batch concluded with 22 students getting placed in organizations like Rajasthan SRLM, Karnataka SRLM, Jharkhand SRLM, APMAS, Gram Unnati, Gujarat SRLM, etc.
