STRATE School of Design was established in 1993 and is one of the top-rated European Design schools that has expanded to India. In 2021, Eduawards recognized STRATE Bangalore for its academic excellence at the National Educational Awards and Conference 2021. STRATE is also a member of several reputed design organizations worldwide, such as the Cumulus Association and the World Design Organization, among others.

STRATE School of Design offers a B.Des course as its flagship program that is of 4-year duration. The specializations under B.Des are Product Design, Transportation Design, Interaction Design, Visual Communication and Brand Identity, Game Design, and Interior and Space Design. To be eligible for admission, candidates must secure at least 50% in class 10+2. The final selection will be based on the admission test conducted by the Institute followed by an Interview. STRATE fees for B.Des range from INR 21.5 lakhs for Game Design and Interior and Space design to INR 26 lakhs for other specializations.

STRATE Placements 2024 concluded with the highest salary offered being INR 14 LPA and the average salary recorded was INR 8 LPA. Some of the recruiters were TATA Motors, Hero, Harman, Royal Enfield, TVS, Hatch Design Studio, etc.
