What's New In LPUNEST 2026?
LPUNEST 2027 registration is open. For the first B.Tech schedule, the last date to apply and book a slot is 15 January 2027. The test will be held from 10 January to 5 February 2027 in remotely proctored mode and from 20 January to 5 February 2027 at test centres.
Lovely Professional University uses LPUNEST for admission, scholarship or both, depending on the programme. This page explains the current B.Tech dates and paper because LPU has published the full 2027 details for this course. The subject choice, eligibility and paper may be different for MBA, design, law, pharmacy and other courses.

LPUNEST 2027 Dates
As per the B.Tech dates page, LPU has announced the first 2027 schedule. Students can choose a test-centre slot or take the test from home under remote supervision. The two modes have different starting dates but close on the same day.

These dates are for the first B.Tech schedule. LPU may hold more schedules if seats are left. A later schedule does not change the deadline or result date of an earlier one.
What is LPUNEST?
LPUNEST stands for Lovely Professional University National Entrance and Scholarship Test. LPU conducts separate papers for different programmes. For some courses, the score is used for admission as well as scholarship. For others, admission may be based on the qualifying exam while LPUNEST is used only to decide scholarship.
The university offers LPUNEST for engineering, management, design, law, pharmacy and several other subjects. The B.Tech paper is not the common paper for every course. A student applying for MBA, B.Design or law has to use the dates, eligibility and syllabus given on that programme's page.
Admission and scholarship are two different resultsA qualifying LPUNEST score can make a student eligible for admission. A higher score may also place the student in a scholarship category. The final fee depends on the course, scholarship category and the fee shown for that programme.
LPUNEST 2027 B.Tech Eligibility
Indian students who have passed Class 12 or are appearing in 2027 can apply for the B.Tech test. The board or council must be recognised. Most B.Tech programmes need at least 60% in the required Class 12 subjects and a qualifying LPUNEST score.

Some computer science programmes in artificial intelligence and data fields also include an interview. English may be waived as a Class 12 subject when the qualifying course was studied in English medium or an equivalent condition accepted by the university.
Relaxation in qualifying marks
LPU gives a 10% relaxation to students from the North-East states and Sikkim. A 5% relaxation applies to Defence personnel and their dependants, and to wards of Kashmiri migrants, where the programme allows it. The relaxation changes the required qualifying marks; it does not remove the required subjects.
LPUNEST 2027 Application and Fees
The application is submitted through the LPUADMIT portal. Registration creates the account used for the form, payment, slot booking, result and admission. The form with a soft copy of the LPUNEST kit costs Rs 1,000. The form with a printed kit costs Rs 1,500.
- Create an account on LPUADMIT and confirm the email address.
- Fill in personal, academic and programme details.
- Pay for the soft-copy or printed application kit.
- Choose the test mode and the subject set allowed for the programme.
- Book the date, time and test centre, if applicable.
A self-booked hall ticket is generated after the slot is confirmed. If the university books the slot, the hall ticket is normally available within 48 hours. It shows the test date, time and centre or remote-exam details.
Test-Centre and Remotely Proctored LPUNEST
Both modes use a computer-based paper. At a test centre, the student chooses an available city, date and time. In the remotely proctored mode, the test is taken from a quiet room while an invigilator and monitoring software watch the session.

After choosing the remotely proctored test, a student cannot change to the test-centre mode. The remote setup needs a working webcam, microphone and speaker on the main computer. The phone works as the second camera.
LPUNEST 2027 B.Tech Exam Pattern
The B.Tech test has four subjects. Physics, Chemistry and English are common. The fourth subject is Mathematics or Biology, based on the programme. Each subject has 25 questions and carries 100 marks, making a total of 100 questions and 400 marks.

The test lasts 150 minutes. Each correct answer carries 4 marks and there is no negative marking. In a multiple-select question, all correct options must be chosen for 4 marks. A partly correct selection or any wrong option gets zero; there are no partial marks.
Every selected subject has equal weightEnglish carries the same 100 marks as Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology. The paper is not scored as three main subjects plus a small language section.
LPUNEST 2027 B.Tech Syllabus
The B.Tech syllabus covers Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology and English. A student prepares either Mathematics or Biology according to the programme, not both as part of the same four-subject paper.

LPUNEST 2027 Result, Counselling and Admission
The B.Tech result for the first schedule will be available on 8 February 2027. The scorecard shows the marks and rank. LPU does not allow revaluation because the test is computer-based.
Online counselling begins on the same day as the result. Students fill their programme preferences, and LPU allots a seat according to rank, choice and availability. The allotment letter gives the payment deadline. An initial payment of Rs 10,000 is required before document upload and payment of the remaining fee.
If two students have the same total, LPU first compares their subject-wise marks. If the tie remains, the older student gets the higher position. Qualifying the test does not by itself guarantee a preferred branch because allotment also depends on the choices filled and seats left.
LPUNEST 2027 Scholarship Cutoffs
The B.Tech fee page uses LPUNEST score bands for scholarships. Its current tentative cutoffs are based on the previous year's performance and can change for 2027.

The scholarship amount is linked to the programme fee and the score category. The same score need not produce the same rupee reduction in every course. The B.Tech fee and scholarship table gives the amount for each programme.
Things to rememberThe 15 January deadline and 8 February result date belong to the first B.Tech schedule. Choose Mathematics or Biology according to the course. Remote testing needs two devices, and that choice cannot later be changed to a test centre. Scholarship cutoffs are separate from the basic qualifying rule for admission.
