NEXT 2023 eligibility criteria will soon be released by the National Medical Commission (NMC). NEXT 2023 entrance exam Step 1 is expected to be held in the month of November 2023.

NEXT 2023 Eligibility Criteria
Step 1
Willing candidates who wish to apply for NEXT 2023 should satisfy the below-mentioned criteria:
- Candidates must be of Indian origin or NRIs, PIOs, OCIs, & Foreign Nationals willing to practice medicine in India.
- Candidates must have Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as compulsory subjects in their 10+2 examination.
- Candidates must be pursuing MBBS from a recognized medical university.
- Candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% (40% for reserved category candidates) aggregate marks in their 10+2 examination.
- Candidates must have attended a minimum age of 17 years as on December 31, 2023.
- There is no restriction on the number of NEET attempts.
Step 2
The eligibility criteria for NEXT 2023 Step 2 is mentioned below:
- Candidates must have passed all six papers in Step 1 to qualify for Step 2 of NEXT 2023.
- Candidates, who have failed one or two papers in Step 1, must clear those papers with the minimum passing marks to be qualified for Step 2.
- Candidates must have completed an internship at some recognized medical college.

The eligibility criteria for the NEXT 2023 internship are mentioned below:
- Candidates must have completed their 12 months internship after qualifying the Step 1 of NEXT 2023.
- To be eligible for an internship, candidates should qualify in all 6 papers of the Step 1 exam.
- Candidates must also have passed in III MBBS/ Final MBBS (Part 2) Practical exams as per the concerned university they are enrolled into.
NEXT 2023 Post-Graduate Eligibility

- Candidates must be registered license holders issued by the Indian Medical Register / State Medical Register.
