Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) is an undergraduate course that provides a professional degree in the discipline of medicine, disease diagnosis, etc. The course continues for almost 5 years and 6 months with 9 different semesters. All the students aspiring to become a doctor can apply for this course. The main aim of the course is to impart both surgical methodology and the medicine study to its students.

The admission to the top most MBBS colleges in India is based on the NEET entrance exam. And to be eligible for applying to MBBS courses, the candidates must have at least 50% of scores in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at 10 + 2 levels. The minimum age for applying to the NEET exam is 17 years. To secure the seats in the top colleges for MBBS, the candidates must qualify the NEET cutoff.

In order to take admission in the top – most institutes across India, the candidates must satisfy the following eligibility criteria.

  • Candidates must have passed 10 + 2 levels from any recognised board in the stream of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB).
  • Candidates must have at least 50% of the aggregate marks in their senior secondary examination.
  • The candidates belonging to the category of socially and educationally backward classes, such as the scheduled castes and the scheduled tribes, are eligible for 5% relaxation.

Ques. Does the NEET 2022 application require me to enter my Aadhaar number?

Ans. A field for entering the Aadhaar number has been added to the online application form. Although it is not required, candidates must fill it out to prevent future problems.

Ques. Can I take the NEET 2022 exam if I'm above 25 years old?

Ans. Yes. Candidates who are older than 25 years old are still allowed to take the exam. The maximum age for NEET UG 2022 has been removed by the appropriate authority. Candidates must meet all other qualifying requirements and have reached the age of 17 as of December 31, 2022.

Ques. What information can we modify using the correction window option?

Ans. NTA offers candidates a correction window after the deadline for submitting their NEET applications has passed. This window makes it easier to edit some details. Candidates should be aware that the correction window does not allow for editing of all the information on the NEET application form 2022. Details like personal information, date of birth, the type of question paper, the city of choice for the NEET exam, academic information, residence, and parent's name, however, can be changed.

Ques. Which state should I choose in the "State of Eligibility (for 15% All India Quota)" section if I completed my Class 10 in one state and Class 12 in another?

Ans. The admissions process has no domicile restrictions. For the All India Quota seats in NEET 2022, it doesn't matter what state a candidate graduated from Class 10 or Class 12; Jammu & Kashmir is the only exception. For 85% of the available state quota seats, candidates are recommended to apply in the state where they have a permanent address or where they have complete domicile eligibility.

Ques. What will the NEET exam's syllabus be, and what kinds of questions will be asked?

Ans. The contents covered in Classes 11 and 12 for all three disciplines provide the foundation for the NEET UG 2022 syllabus. There will be 200 multiple-choice questions on the NEET exam paper. 180 MCQs will need to be answered by candidates.
