Admission to MBBS courses is given on the basis of the scores obtained by the candidates in various entrance exams conducted at the National or University level. MBBS Admission 2023 Eligibility 

Candidates seeking to pursue MBBS courses must fulfil the eligibility requirements for the course. However, the eligibility criteria for admission in MBBS courses is different for different colleges but the basic eligibility requirements to pursue MBBS course in India are mentioned below: 

  • Candidates must have completed 10+2 with a science stream having Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as their compulsory subjects from the recognized board.
  • Candidates must have completed their 10+2 with a minimum aggregate of at least 50% marks for the general category.
  • Candidates must have completed their 10+2 with a minimum aggregate of at least 40% marks for the reserved category.
  • Candidates should be at least 17 years old.
  • For admission to top colleges or universities, Candidates need to qualify for the NEET entrance examination, the ranks of which ensure their admission to a college. 
  • Candidates may also be required to face a counselling round followed by a Document Verification.
