Ques. Does CMC Vellore allow admission through donations or agents?
Ans. No. CMC Vellore does not accept any donation, capitation fee or extra payment apart from the fixed tuition and administrative charges. Admission is based on merit, NEET scores and counselling. Anyone promising guaranteed admission through payment or agents is making a fraudulent offer, and such cases should be reported to law enforcement. The college also issues a caution notice against agent-based admission claims.
Ques. Are foreign medical graduates eligible for CMC Vellore postgraduate courses?
Ans. Yes. Foreign medical graduates can apply for MD/MS and super-specialty programs if they have a medical degree from a recognized university in their home country, have cleared the FMG Screening Test conducted by NMC, hold a valid NEET-PG or NEET-SS score and have obtained the NMC No Objection Certificate from the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. They go through the same merit-based selection as Indian graduates, but their names are placed on a separate merit list. NMC approval is also required before joining.
Ques. Is hostel accommodation assured after admission to CMC Vellore?
Ans. No. CMC Vellore offers partly furnished campus accommodation only when rooms are available. Hostel allotment depends on capacity and the number of applications. Students who do not get on-campus housing must arrange private accommodation in Vellore town. The Modale International Hostel is meant for overseas elective students and visiting researchers. Because seats are limited, postgraduate trainees have a better chance of getting accommodation than undergraduate students.
Ques. When is the CMC Vellore cutoff for 2026 expected?
Ans. CMC Vellore does not release cutoff ranks before the admission process. Cutoffs are fixed only after NEET 2026 results are announced. Based on previous trends, the general category NEET UG cutoff for MBBS admission is expected to be 800 - 1,200 ranks. For postgraduate programs, the NEET-PG cutoff usually falls within the top 5% of test-takers.
Ques. Is NEET-SS needed for admission to DM or M.Ch at CMC Vellore?
Ans. Yes. A valid NEET-SS 2025 score is compulsory for DM/MCH admission. Seat allotment is done through DGHS common counselling on the basis of merit rank. Only students who qualify NEET-SS are considered, and a NEET-PG score alone is not enough for super-specialty admission. Students must register for NEET-SS 2025 and secure a valid score before the admission schedule starts.
Ques. Are medical courses at CMC Vellore offered online or through distance mode?
Ans. No. All medical courses at CMC Vellore are full-time and taught in person. MBBS needs 5 years of continuous campus attendance, including compulsory clinical rotations. I choose this course because my mother wanted me to do it. The teaching method is in form of lecture and the clinical teaching are really good in CMC. They train us in a way that would make us survive the harsk environment and swim against the flow For me it's yearly wise exam so it's okay They conduct small test twice a week for every subject and put internal marks according to the test score.if you score bad your internal marks will be low. You will get merit certificate of you do well in your academics and clinical area

Course Curriculum Overview:
Our college has all the basic facilities and equipment and our infrastructure is very good and very nature-friendly. Our college has also hostel facilities. I am doing MBBS. Our college placement facilities are quite good, around 85 % of students got placement from our college. Although our respected teachers are very good in their stream and they teach us everything. Also, they arrange a weekly test for our improvement.
Placement Experience:
In the private sector in India, MBBS graduates have numerous job opportunities across various healthcare organizations. Private sector opportunities offer competitive salaries, professional growth, and diverse MBBS career paths for graduates. So there is no fear about getting placement I still remember the highest package is around 5.6 lakh per annum. The highest package is 6.3 lakh per annum and the average package is 5.6 lakh per annum. Every year our college students get their placement through campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:
The public health course is a new age course that is gradually evolving and blooming. The public health course comprises of epidemiology health policy to help with finances and other health-related matters including environmental health occupational health and measures to eradicate various diseases and illnesses. The teaching faculty comprises well and renowned doctors from various departments of CMC. The course comes under the community medicine department of CMC Vellore. There are various guest lectures in workshops conducted by well-known professionals in the field of Public Health. The course is module-based each module comprises a topic and after the end of every module, there is a test followed by a presentation. The overall marks from all the tests conducted after the module are taken together and the final CGPA is calculated. There is no term or final exam only the module exams are considered as final. The college provides scholarships to needy and privileged students from college
Internships Opportunities:
As a reputed Institution in the country, the college has linked up and MoU's various organizations and hospitals so getting an internship is not that tough for the students. Students get internships in various organizations like WHO and some government organizations like ICMR and NHM. The stipend offered by governmental organizations ranges from 10000 to 25000 while nongovernmental ones range from 5000 to 15000. The main objective and role of the intern are to assess health outcomes and provide various measures and policies to identify and rule off diseases and illnesses.

Christian Medical College (CMC) Vellore has various admission criteria:
- For MBBS, applicants must have at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology (or Botany or Zoology) and English. Candidates must also have at least 140/200 marks in these subjects. For BC/MBC/SC/ST/OPH, candidates must have 40% marks.
- For the CMC Vellore BPT program, candidates must have passed Class 12 from the CBSE board or equivalent with a minimum of 50 percent in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
- For DM and M.Ch, candidates must have an MD/DNB degree in the relevant specialization from a recognized university.
- Non-Indian nationals must obtain a "No Objection Certificate" from the Government of India.
- Candidates must possess an MBBS Degree from a University recognized by the MCI.
