It is India's second-largest university in the health domain. The university is associated with more than 40 government colleges, 33 of which are in the medical profession.
The university offers undergraduate, graduate, doctoral, diploma, and certificate programmes in a variety of fields, including nursing, pharmacy, allied health science, and medicine. Seven different departments, including Experimental Medicine, Epidemiology, Medical Genetics, Transfusion Medicine, and others, provide these courses.

- The State Government has been considering the need for a distinct medical university in Tamilnadu, since 1980 in order to handle medical teaching and research at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels for a number of years.
- In order to maintain uniform and high standards of education, this is the only medical university in Tamil Nadu that can grant affiliation to new institutions under government or self-financing in the fields of medicine, dentistry, Indian medicine/homeopathy, and allied health sciences (nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, etc.).
- It is the second-largest health-related university in India. 33 of the more than 40 government colleges with which the university is affiliated are medical schools.
- Scholarships for students are not provided by the university. The Central Sector Schemes Scholarship is an additional choice for students and is available to all UG and PG applicants.
- Applicants may submit their applications for this scholarship at the national scholarship portal, www.scholarships.gov.in.

MGR University Admission 2022
Admission is done on the basis on ythe candidate’s performance in the qualifying exams such as the NEET UG, NEET PG, and NEET SS. Indian students and NRI students go through different admissions procedures.
For Indian students:
- • Check out the MGR Medical University website.
- • Select the tab labelled "Application form."
- • Submit an application and sign up for a certificate of eligibility.
- • INR 1600 is the application and eligibility certificate fee, which must be paid using an online payment gateway.
For NRI students:
- • The entrance exam results of the candidates are also taken into consideration when choosing NRI students.
- NRIs are only eligible to apply if they were born in India or to Indian parents.
- • Indian passports must be held by NRI applicants.
- • For NRI students, the application cost is INR 10,000.
- • A demand draught (DD) must be used to make the payment.

MGR University Placement
Being a medical school, Tamil Nadu MGR Medical University does not provide its students a placement option. However, there are other resources that are comparable to the placement drive, and they are as follows:
- M.B.B.S. students who have passed the CRBI and obtained an RMP membership with MCI and the Tamil Nadu state medical council are eligible to practice as general practitioners. The openings will be announced to the candidates as they become available. The candidates can also speak with the authorities to learn more about the qualifications for the GP.
- P.G. students can run an independent civilization or hospital or work as a consultant after completing their course and upgrading their degree in both councils. The position of assistant professor is also open to them. The CDCC is alerted about similar openings so that junior doctors might be referred there.
- After receiving specialised training, candidates with a B. SC degree and a P. G. Diploma are accepted into the institution in accordance with its own requirements.
- Students who are already practicing are given access to additional post-doctoral courses.
- These university's employed applicants can update their profiles and discover greater employment opportunities.
MGR University Scholarship
There are no student scholarships offered by the university. The Central Sector Schemes Scholarship, which is open to all UG and PG applicants, is another option for the students. Through the national scholarship portal, www.scholarships.gov.in, candidates can apply for this scholarship.
Every year in July, the scholarship application forms become available, and applicants have until October to submit their applications. The top students who take the relevant exam receive this scholarship.

Ans. Yes, the Indian Medical Council has givenTamil Nadu MGR Medical University its accreditation. It is situated in Tamil Nadu state's capital city of Chennai, 6 kilometres from both the national and international airports, and 12 kilometres from the Chennai railway station.
Question : Does the university offer any courses through distance learning?
Ans. Yes, distant learning programmes offer PG Diploma courses in health care, health law, and refresher courses in diabetology. However, MCI has not authorised these courses.

Internships are training programmes in our college for training students on their courses. Internships are held on hospitals that the college are tied. There are more scope for our course all over india and also abroad.

This course was my ambition.And then the facilities are very kind and they don't hesitate to teach one more tym. They treat all the students equally. The duration of the exam is 3 hours. You have to write fastly because in that question paper there is no option to leave the question.you must attend and answer the all questions
Placement Experience:
A good percentage is very important to eligible for placement.There is some rich hospitals and they conduct the exam and selected the person to their hospital like campus interview. Highest package is 90,000 and 70%of students getting the placement.my plan is after getting the degree going to abroad.

Course Curriculum Overview:
I choosen this course its my own interest i want to become a doctor. Here my college facilities are well knowledged doctors the are really good talent helping minded and very kind and humble. Their teaching methods and skills are no words to say anything. Main university exam are yearly once . monthly college conducting exams internal exams they are very much useful to avoid last time pressure during studying university exam.
Placement Experience:
Internship is compulsory for 1 year. For all medical college is compulsory. Also they provide stipend for 12 months each month 6k . Also can join here as a junior resident they got 20k starting salary they provide. Other than library junior resident they can read for pg preparations in college library itself. They provide food and accommodation freely.

Course Curriculum Overview:
Faculties are really nice to improve my skills and techniques in my field. Faculties are well experienced doctors their teaching methods are useful. There is an 6 internal exam they conducted every year additional to one model exam. It was useful to studying easily.
Placement Experience:
College provide job opportunities in their hospital as a junior resident. And also for pg preparations after finishing mbbs . Last year 4 students got neet pg . 20k for every junior resident joined hospital. It was low package. After neet pg they provide 70k for every senior resident.

Course Curriculum Overview:
Because I got inspired by one of the Madam who is working in Billroth hospital which is in shenoy nagar ,as a physician assistant. She used to interpret ECG so I thought of taking this course . All faculties were keenly checked and interviewed . 99% were really good at teaching. For the Allied health science there will be one semester per year in Tagore Medical College and hospital. So we had enough of time to read and get more information about the subjects etc . The difficult level is to clear the exams . Because most of them thinks it will be easy studying later but it's not . So have to prepare well in the beginning itself .
Placement Experience:
There is no placement for all the course for example Allied health has 7 division courses Physician assistant, dialysis technology, MLT, Anesthesia, cardiac technology, radiology, ophthalmology. So only some course have placement with in the hospital but especially for physician assistant there is no placement in the hospital. Other than that OT, Cardiac technology,MLt etc has the opportunity to work in the hospital. 50% students get placements My plan is to go abroad and explore more things and to learn in all categories about the course etc .

This course was providing lots of job opportunities like pharmacist, research and development of drugs, industry of medicine manufacturing, quality control, drug designing, and drug inspector ext... The staffs are completed post graduation (m.pharm) . That college provides well facility laboratory and give the students attending seminar opportunities. Staff are helped to students for artical writing. The examination conducted by mgr University at 6 months once , the college conducted two sessional exam for internal marks for one semester. Totally 4 years college conducted sessional exam was 16 . Only chemistry interested students was easily clear the all semester. Pharmacy full la chemistry related subjects. Very stress full course....
Placement Experience:
That Mariam college of pharmacy was established at 2020 So first batch students was completed the course at this year (2024) on December. So I not know the placement. These college taiuped several industries, they gives placement.

Course Curriculum Overview:
Why did I choose the course? Because I have to service the people with quality medication 4 years with 8 semesters and exam minimum pass percentage is 50% and the exam is very good and easy level for the students 90000 per year extra exam fees per semester and other transport fees
Placement Experience:
Graduation with 75 per cent marks in all semesters and we'll knowledge and skill development is necessary I visited the Eurofins industry and Cipla, Pfizer industry's 75 per cent for the placement of the students

Here the counseling seat availability,.. scholarships are also available in the college, and qualified staff are in college. PhD candidates are available in the college .. teaching is very well. Teaching methods are oral & projector classes

Here have no interview or written test for admission .. teachers are well educated and qualified experienced staff ... Hostel and food are 70% well good. Hostel have good feel environment. College are very good
