CMC Vellore Admission Update
CMC Vellore admits students to medical, nursing and allied health programmes through entrance scores and counselling. MBBS admission needs NEET UG, while MD, MS and PG Diploma admission needs NEET PG followed by counselling. The MBBS annual tuition fee is INR 3,000.
Every student who joins CMC Vellore must complete a compulsory 2-year service obligation. This rule applies to open category, Minority Network and staff quota students, so applicants should understand this condition before applying.

Admission Update:
- MBBS 2026: NEET UG 2026 was held on June 21. Result was expected in the second week of July 2026. TN DME counselling and CMC management allotment were to follow in August 2026.
- BSc Nursing (Vellore campus): Step 1 CBT was held on May 21, 2026. Step 2 interview and skill test were scheduled from July 6 to 8, 2026 at CMC Vellore.
- MD/MS and PG Diploma: NEET PG 2026 was scheduled for August 30, 2026. MCC PG counselling was expected in October 2026 (Tentative).
- MBBS has 100 seats, split into 50 Management Quota seats and 50 Government Quota seats.
- A valid NEET UG 2026 score is needed for all 100 MBBS seats. CMC Vellore has no MBBS admission path without NEET.
- The Minority Network category includes 38 management seats for Christian candidates. Applicants must have a recommendation from a CMC-approved church or mission body. Selection in this category depends only on NEET rank. Capitation fee is not accepted.
- BSc Nursing at the Vellore campus follows CMC's own 2-step entrance process. NEET UG is not needed for this campus. Nursing admission is open only to unmarried women.
- BPT and BOT admission is based on NEET UG merit as per a National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions notification. CMC conducts Step 1 and Step 2 for other allied health programmes.
- CMC Vellore does not take donation or capitation fees in any category. Any offer of direct admission to CMC Vellore is fraudulent.
Management Quota at CMC Vellore: The 50 management seats at CMC Vellore are not filled through donations. The 2 Open seats are allotted only by NEET UG rank. The 38 Minority Network seats need both NEET rank and a recommendation from a CMC-approved church. All 50 management seats include a 2-year service obligation, and no capitation fee is charged at any step.

BSc Nursing at the Vellore campus has 100 seats each year. This includes 15 All India Open seats, with 3 reserved for SC/ST candidates. The other 85 seats are for Minority Network and CMC Staff candidates. The 2-year service bond applies to all 100 seats.
CMC Vellore BSc Nursing Selection Criteria 2026
Vellore campus: Step 1 is a computer-based test with 180 PCB multiple choice questions and a 120-question aptitude section. Shortlisted students move to Step 2 at CMC Vellore, where they attend a personal interview and skill assessment. Minority Network applicants also take a Bible Knowledge written test in Step 2.
Chittoor campus: Admission is decided by NEET UG 2026 rank. After the NEET UG result, CMC publishes a separate merit list for Chittoor.
For BPT and BOT, students are selected through NEET UG merit. Applicants need 10+2 with PCB and English, at least 50% aggregate (45% for SC/ST/OBC), and a valid NEET UG score. The maximum age is 40 years.

Key Insight: For DM, MCh and DrNB-SS superspeciality programmes at CMC Vellore, MCC conducts counselling for 100% of seats. I joined CMC because one of my aunty studied there and she told that it's a great college And yes it is a great college if you look at the studies and clinical experience part.If you are thinking you can come and enjoy the college life then you got it all wrong. You are under strict supervision 24/7 and will be 10 times more stressed than you have ever been. Other than that no issues are there and you would be okay if you are a flexible person. If you want a seat in the college for Bsc Nursing and other medical related courses,You have to write an entrance exam which is conducted by the CMC college which includes 5 subjects that is maths biology chemistry physics and mental ability If you have passed the exam you have to attend the interview where they will ask basic and critical thinking questions that is related to medical profession which will be simple to answer If you pass in both exams you GOT THE SEAT! anyone who finished+2 and have basic knowledge can pass the test.

Christian Medical College, Vellore is one of the top medical colleges in the country with a NIRF rank of 3. So it was a dream come true to get admitted to such a prestigious college. The admission was based on a computer-based test followed by an interview. The CBT was based on the course subject matter and was of 100 marks comprising of MCQs. After qualifying for the CBT we have to go through an interview process. The cutoff for the computer-based test is 70%. After qualifying for the interview they publish the merit list. The interview comprises the subject matter along with practical aspects and scenarios.
