Ludhiana's Christian Medical College [CMC] is a minority-run private teaching hospital. It was Asia's first medical school for women when it opened in 1984. Undergraduate, graduate and doctorate programmes are available at the college. In the medical field, more than 50 courses are available, including MBBS, BDS, and B.Sc Nursing. In addition, the institute offers postgraduate diplomas in a variety of subjects. Baba Farid University of Health Sciences in Punjab is connected with CMC. Baba Farid University of Health Sciences approves admission to the various courses offered by the institution. Christian Medical College provides MD programmes in 13 specialities, MS programmes in five specialties, and PG Diploma programmes in six specialties.
