The program covers the same material as a regular physics course and leads to the same degree, but the longer study time allows for a more comprehensive introductory phase. Those first-year students who are unsure whether their prior school knowledge is satisfactory are allowed to catch up and improve their foundational expertise during the first year of study. This is particularly relevant to basic calculation methods and mathematical modeling, which involves describing a quantitative problem using a mathematical approach. Furthermore, basic knowledge of information technology, particularly programming, is introduced from the start of the course.
