Central University of Jammu released a notification on November 8, 2024, listing the date and time for offline Ph.D. Admission Interview. The interview will be conducted in the Committee Room, Academic Block, Central University of Jammu Campus on November 13, 18, 20, 21, 27, and 28, 2024.

CU Jammu Documents Required

The candidates should ensure to bring the originals and self-attested copies of the below-listed documents for verification before the interview:

  • Application form.
  • All certificates & documents uploaded pertaining to admission at the time of submission of the application form.
  • Candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC / PwD / EWS categories must submit a recent certificate(s) as per the latest formats of Govt. of India.
  • In-service candidates must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) issued by the Head of the Institution.

CU Jammu Eligibility Criteria

  • Minimum 60% marks or Equivalent grade in point scale (where grading system is followed) in Master’s Degree for General Category candidates.
  • 5% relaxation or its equivalent grade is allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-abled, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and other categories as per Commission's decisions.
  • Equivalent qualifications from foreign institutions must be accredited by an assessment and accreditation agency recognized by:
  1. The law in the home country OR
  2. Statutory authority in that country

CU Jammu Key Instructions

  • Candidates failing to meet the minimum eligibility criteria will not be permitted to appear for an interview.
  • The candidates are requested to appear for the offline Interview as per the schedule failing which their interview shall be cancelled.
  • The time allotted for each candidate for the presentation is 5-6 minutes, with a maximum of 5 slides allowed to be presented (inclusive of the title slide)
  • Following the presentation, candidates will undergo a panel interview.
  • The candidature of the selected candidate shall be canceled at any stage of admission/at any time during Ph.D. if the submitted credentials are found to be incorrect/ inadmissible/ falsified.
